The LGA chairman doesn't not need the backing of Amaechi. From what I heard, he has the backing of PDP. All funds to the Local government comes directly from the federation account. Remember when obj freeze the LGA funds to Lagos state local government during Tinubu tenure. Since Obio/Akpor has been closed down we have had peace in Port Harcourt, no thugs harassing business owners or seizing goods from poor sellers, no agbero demanding for building permit etc. Now that they have been re-instated with out funding they will go on massive fund drive for chrismax i just pity the business owners in Obio/Akpor.
