OpeLovely:

@ iyaade,

Why not use any emollient creams which are good for dry/itchy skin. A good example is E-45 cream. Sheabutter is good especially when mixed with honey and the natural black soap.

Thanks, I'll try that!

to steam the face, the most popular way to do it is spreading a towel over you and deeping your head over a bowl of hot water and let the steam on your face.
but hey. think of it this way,
- vegetables, garlic, honey, lemon grass, orange juice, lemon, all inside the bowl of hot water,. you get a totally different steam which is refreshing and totally good for skin. But steaming the face isnt to be done too often. i do it once in two weeks.
Now for spots,
Please get a bottle of rose water. i use Boots glycerin and rosewater.
clearasil ultra rapid action cream for spots
clearasil deep pore treatment wash for spots

It does work. using rose water allover your face once a day would help brighten the skin and with continous use, it fades dark spots.
Be good to your self, dont use too many products at a time., And guess what? just recently i decided to stop using cleansers and toners or anything alcoholic that i have to rub over my face with a cotton wool, and you would not believe, i have not had those ugly breakouts on my face. It was just a thought that i was moving the problems from one place to the other with a cotton wool on my face. so i stopped. and i think my skin is better now that all i do is
wash, rosewater, clearasil rapid action cream, and drink lots of water!

hi epstitch, been goin through ur write ups n i really appreciate You. i ve a liitle problem n i hope You can give me some good tips. i am light in complexion n not tall. i ve stretch marks on my bum n don't know hw 2 get rid of them. nd

Hi, i have had quite a number of questions abot stretch marks so let me address them here. Babes, the truth is most stretch mark products work by darkening the areas.E.g palmers There are procedures done to remove them by cosmetological specialists and i understand these procedures are done here in Nigeria too by Modupe Ozolua. The price? about 200k. Can you afford that? well i can't. The deal is, if he isnt complaining, then don't kill yourself yet. lol
I do have stretch marks on my bum. When i have to go to the pool, i use bikini shorts instead of undies. don't worry about it dearie.
But hey, there are a few things you could do to help lessen the marks naturally without using chemicals or anthing of the sort.

1. Buy vitamin E in gelcaps and take a needle and poke a hole in a few of them. Squeeze the liquid out and rub it on your stretch marks or scars. The first thing it that you should apply the vitamin E oil shortly after taking a shower. Do not wipe it off, just let it sink into the skin naturally and re-apply after your next shower. To be effective, you should be applying the vitamin E oil daily.
- The second thing is if you find that the area feels a little sticky or it sticks to your clothes, cover the area with gauze (for bigger areas) using medical tape to secure it in place, or a band-aid (for smaller areas).
This remedy works for stretch marks, all sorts of scars (including acne scars and blemishes) and any skin irregularities that you wish would disappear. This information is straight from personal experience, I would never suggest anything to anyone without first trying it for myself. I have tried many, many different types of remedies for scars and believe me, this is definitely the best. Feel free to e-mail me with any questions and if I find any other uses for this remedy I will let you know.

2. You cold also Apply Olive oil (100%) to your stretch marks at least twice a day. Within a week you should start to see the results of your stretch marks starting to fade!!!

Hi Epstitch, please I want to know if its right to use wash face and also use cleanser at the same time? Presently, I use Neutrogena Cleasing Bar, I cdnt get Clearasil Soap, can I use Clearasil Deep Cleansing Toner too? I need something to moisture my face because dry season is normally very hard on me and its approaching now, finally, which body/face cream can you recommend for me? I use Nivea products, its bn good but recently, am noticing something like ezcema on my body tnx.

hey!
best for moisturising and glowing skin at the same time, is Rose Water. i would recommend Boots glycerin and rosewater. For a body cream that is suitable for moisturising and smoothning the skin, is Jergens skin smoothning. Its perfect, i can tell you that cause i know!
so heres what you'd do, buy Jergens, and Rose water, pour about half the contents of rosewater into the jergens bottle and mix well. What your doing is basically getting the moisturising, toning, skin smoothning, all in one!
Infact, once in awhile, liberally apply rosewater on the face, its kinda greasy so go a little at a time!
Spa owner? no! im a makeup artist and i know a bit of plenty stuffs that i have to share with beautiful girls like y'all.
thanks for reading!
Re: The Fabulousities Of Makeup by OpeLovely(f): 5:12pm On Oct 06, 2008
The mycoten cleared the rashes.

I've just gotten sunscreen spf 30 lotion with vitamin e and has anti-ageing properties plus aloe vera.

I found out that if you also want smooth and soft skin, add 2 tablespoonfuls of Neutrogena Body oil inside your bath water.

Thanks Darlyn. Now what I need to know is, should I use the glycerin/rosewater to cleanse my face after bath or just rub the mixed cream only?
Re: The Fabulousities Of Makeup by whiteroses(f): 11:38pm On Oct 07, 2008
talking of jergens please peoples beware of jergens glow cream, you'll get a tan and go darker, it took me weeks of bathing trice a day to get rid of it lol only use the skin smoothining she's said any white peoples products that says glow, they mean tan
Re: The Fabulousities Of Makeup by epstitch(f): 7:58am On Oct 10, 2008
white roses, that was sweet of you. as for rose water, you mix with your cream and apply. once in a while, i se rose water alone on my face. it smoothens and tones at the same time.
