lance4luv: I beg to disagree sir! the difference between i7 and i5 processor is hyperthreading which is needed in pc applications like image and video editors,so an i5 is very okay for gaming. In addition, the processor only contributes to gaming FPS by 30%...not much....Most of the gaming computing is being done by the GPU....as as regards gaming...The GPU is the most essential component. intel i5 + nvidia gtx 770 is way better than intel i7+ nvidia gtx 660 Also do not let the video memory fool you. video memory is essential when choosing resolutions. 1GB-2GB is well enough for 1080p resolution gaming 2-4Gb is well enough for 2k-4k resolution gaming but the memory doesn't give better gaming speed! the cores and clocks of the GPU does. i used to own a radeon hd 4250 4gb in my old laptop....a useless GPU. but now i use nvidia gt 635m 2gb is 80% better than the above hd 4250 4gb vga I hope i have helped yu avoid some future errors 2 Likes |

dino_xiv: Nice - Also wanted to start such a thread... seems there aren't as many Core pc gamers in naija... Nice Specs. Please may I ask how you are shipping to Nigeria. That's if you are. Purchasing good enough spec has been a challenge for me since my Sony Vaio crashed. Also how long is your shipping optipn and cost. Thanks. |

Big.game: Take a look @ these -to get an idea of what you'd b getting @ that price range. If you don't find them listed check Amazon warehouse deals, eBay & some Naija online stores & @ ikeja. Big.game:I'd advise u check 1st'of all in naija... Or If you know sm1 returning buy it & ship to their add. 'Cos shipping would increase your costs considerably. Also Check on sites like logicbuy newegg & co. For the best deals When I bought mine the discounts covered about half the shipping price to d Naij. Re: PC Gamers Lounge by Nobody: 2:13am On Jan 08, 2014 |
The high prices and slow internet speed of the ISPs in Nigeria makes pc online gaming awful. |

KingMEXX:pls how much can i get this system. |
Re: PC Gamers Lounge by swagifted(m): 4:36pm On Apr 17, 2015 |
KingMEXX:yes it can...but you have to scale it down to 720p to reach 30fps on most new games...to attain over 30fps on 1080p ...most new games demand over 2GB in dedicated memory...kick ur RAM to 8GB tho.. |
Re: PC Gamers Lounge by Nobody: 9:30pm On Apr 17, 2015 |
Akdamola:My broda, 115k-120k at max..That was the price range I got mine |
Re: PC Gamers Lounge by Nobody: 9:33pm On Apr 17, 2015 |
swagifted:Yea, except for the Fifa 15( doesn't guzzle up much power though), some of the latest 2014 and 2015 would be played at lower screen resolution.. but its not that bad..It still handles the games well...Would be going for a standard mouse soon, to support my gaming life, don't wanna destroy the touchpad |
Re: PC Gamers Lounge by swagifted(m): 7:38am On Apr 18, 2015 |
KingMEXX:d best is just to build ur desktop ...hook it up to ur TV(HDMI)...keyboard and mouse for fps..controller for sports (Fifa .NBA. Car race) laptops r nt so efficient for gaming...d ones built for gaming r expensive ...like $900 at least where as for $600 u can build a decent 1080p gaming desktop...and of course u can easily change d components when its time for an upgrade (GPU, RAM, etc) |
Re: PC Gamers Lounge by StoneColdGamer: 2:01am On Apr 26, 2015 |
HEY GUYS...........I just built this rig, Check this spec out: Intel Core I5-2550 @3.3Ghz (boost to 3.6Ghz) 4GB Corsair Vengeance DDR3 Ram Seagate Barracuda 750 GB HDD Coolermaster 550W PSU NVIDIA GTX 660 Ti 2GB DDR5 Graphics Card INTEL DQ67SW Motherboard Playing on a 27 inch IPS Monitor (cos I couldn't get a TN Panel monitor here in Naija) still looks so gorgeous. Thinking of adding a 128GB SSD soon, but believe you me, this rig is a beast as it runs ANY game I throw at it @1080p. |
