MAYOWAAK: A crusade to shut down beer parlours, reduce crime and depopulate the kingdom of darkness in Ogba area of Lagos, western Nigeria, is underway, Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries, MFM, said at a press conference on Sunday.

“We want to close down beer parlours in Ogba environment. We want to convert beer parlours into our praying centres,” said Pastor Aderemi Oseni, the Regional Overseer of MFM Region 32 Ogba, Lagos, who addressed journalists in his church.

“At the end of this crusade, the kingdom of Satan would have been completely depopulated,” he said, adding that the crusade will take place between 19 and 21 December at MFM Regional Headquarters at 9, Ajayi Road, Ogba.

Sensitization campaigns have already begun and a march around Ogba area took place on Sunday.

Oseni said crime had skyrocketed in Nigeria and MFM was ready to assist the government in reducing it in Ogba area.

“We are worried about the extent of crime going on in Nigeria presently and we desire as a church of God to see as much as we can in assisting the government of this country in reducing crime in our own environment,” Oseni said, adding that crime can be reduced through evangelism.

Oseni said it was an open secret that major streets in Ogba have been converted into shrines.

“I am aware of the fact that powers of darkness have converted all our major roads to shrines in this environment. We want to pull down all these (shrines),” he said, adding that they are militating against the progress of mankind.

The theme of the crusade, overcoming the storm, was inspired from Mark 4:19 and aims at helping Nigerians overcome their personal storms or challenges, Oseni said.

“This environment is loaded with a lot of potentials but majority of the potentials are going through a lot of storm,” he said, adding that after the crusade the “whole of Ogba will be delivered from every storm.”

The last crusade took place in June this year and the first one was held in December last year.

Oseni said what makes this crusade unique is the array of pastors who have gathered for the purpose and the areas of focus it will address.

Women are not, however, allowed to wear trousers for the crusade, Oseni said, explaining that it was against the scriptures for women to dress like men.

Oseni said safety and security measures have been put in place and anti-bomb detector devices have been provided for the crusade.

Enough policemen and internal security personnel have also been called upon for the event, he said.

JOKER + JOKER = MFM OGBA

MAYOWAAK: Islamic sharia system in Kano says no to alcohol and the enforcers destroyed thousands of bottles of beer a few weeks ago in Kano.

Mountain of Fire Ministries, a Christian denomination is embarking on a crusade and are pushing for closing down of beer parlors and replacing them with prayer houses in Lagos.

Spot the difference, if any.

In reality, there is very little difference between these 2 competing, imported and foreign religions from the Middle East and the reason is very simple - they are from the same people with the same history, culture, tradition, way of life, politics and even religion but for minor differences that have to do with the persons the religions were formed after.

So, when will these Africans that have elevated these foreign religions over and above the African traditional religions understand the fact that they are following religions started by brothers in the Middle East and stop engaging in religious supremacy and superiority battles because they are one and the same?

Africans that fight one another based on two different religions from the same people are basically suffering from inferiority complex, ignorance and slave mentality!
oh please get a life, Christianity is not stereotypical like Islam. If you want to worship Ogun, go and do so. Life after death will tell which religion is right.

Meanwhile, in other news I will rather practise the religion with a living God and not some religion that tries to give life to objects of art and craftsmanship.

Christianity is as much as stereotypical as much as Islam is. They both have strict rules & regulations. They both have basic dogma to which adherents are mandated to subscribe to. Non of these religions have a living or even dead god for that matter. It's all in the human being's head hence we have a bucket load of gods and multitude of religions everywhere you care to look on Earth.

Pastor Kun: The Pastor Oseni must have been drunk when he made that statement. He should first repent from the tithe fraud perpetuated in his church before he thinks of ridding Lagos of criminals.

This is the problem I have with practice of religion in Nigeria. How can a church suddenly embark on a crusade to close down beer centres. Do they realise that the alcohol industry is a source of livelihood to many Nigerians. Not exempting the amount of contribution it provides the country in terms of GDP.
Countries like Germany, Netherlands have a vibrant beer industry. Even in Africa, Namibia owes a significant portion of her GDP/per capita to the beer industry.
I don't see why MFM should embark on such ridiculous plan and prayer. I believe before they even proceed, someone should ask them of what benefit economically, financially, would the conversion of beer centres to prayer centres....
I think it's time for Nigerians and Africans to practice religion with wisdom.

News and Talks from religious men gets me to think if religious leaders in Nigeria really have the right mindset and are interested in seeing the country prosper.....
Lord, as You enlighten and help our leaders to lead aright, also help and grant Your servants, - The pastors, priests, imams to teach what is right and grant them the wisdom to know what is right. Amen

If they want to help stop crime, then they shoud start by subjecting all their members to alcohol and drug tests. Then they should protest against the government that is crippling this country. The hypocrites are not attacking the thieves that are stealing money to give to the church;it is the people who have a right to do what they want with their lives that they are bothering. angry
