I think the speed varies with location though i haven't taken a personal test myself

Thats about what i get during peak from 12pm to 4pm
but it also depends on what site ur downloading from

Men forget about the rotten starcomms. I mailed them for more than 4 days they cannot get back to me. They are nonesense as fer as am concerned. Their module is the costliest. Do they not know we are in Naija. Let them go to Chine and produce millions of it and make it cheap.Thats how USA does. Zoom mobile module is 10k and they are fast. So whats special about the costly one of starcomms. The only thing is that ZOOM Mobile doesn't brouse from North to south you have to room. Thats their kpalaba shaa. I hated MTN but when I mail starcomms and they did not mail me back I have to go and buy MTN E170. Men it is serving me any where there is mtn service. Even in the most remote village. What again if not serving me anywhere. Please do not go for starcomms, their customer service is -100%. How can you invest where you will not be cared for. Again you must take your computer to them and join a cue that goes from mile 2 to Oshodi with causes and bluffing from the useless workers there. When you buy mtn, connet it to your pc and you are in heaven already no need for 2nd party help. Men thay are fast. I use 10pm to 5am at 2000naira. Some times If I have augency I dash them 500naira for 24hours surfing. Guys consider them instead of this starcomms wahala. Though I still hate MTN but they are your best connection as far as portable brousing is concerned. I have made 17 of my friends that wanted to buy useless starcomms to go for mtn module instead. I ike GLO but their GPRS IS WORST IN THE WHOLE WORLD.

you have to give props to the starcomms EvDo network.its internet connection that's "faster than fast".
i started with the 1x thing 3 months ago which was actually slow but ever since they upgraded most parts of Lagos to their EvDo network,i've been enjoying speedy downloads like never before.

I didnt go for mtn because of their download limit
and u didnt tell us what speeds u get with mtn

ur speed should improve in about a week give or take

i got IDM, do i have to wait for a week for the internet connection to work right? lol na wa o. naija in action!
if the speed is to speed up it should speed up from day1! even browsing is slow, thank God i got swift at home too i for don dey crase! 35950! chai! i for just take the money gbadun small.

StarComms Izap is still better than MTN in terms of user experience and economically. At least I've experienced download rate btw 116 to 150 kbps.

I am using internet download accelerator.Iv been using internet download manager for over a year now but it was having a lot of bugs and was always crashing so i decided to try something else.Even when i was using the IDM i did not cross the 50kbps threshold so i dont think the problem is using an accelerator.

I have a neighbour who uses it, Its very fast and I was begining to wonder where the speed comes from, Its pretty good
