OBJ is now regretting choosing GEJ. This is why it is important for the masses to choose their leaders and not otherwise. Some of what OBJ accused GEJ of doing like 'tenure issue', he (OBJ) also committed. Now that he's on passenger side, he can now feel the same heat that Nigerians felt when he was obstinate concerning 2nd & 3rd terms. What goes round they say comes round. For GEJ, he (GEJ) is a serious disappointment. His ineptitude seems irredeemable. And corruption has reached a crescendo like never seen before. My submission is either GEJ repents from his ways and be a good leaf or be shown out now via the legislators or later in 2015 via election. It will be such a heartbreak for Nigerians to suffer another 4years under GEJ. |

“I have passed the stage of being flattered, intimidated, threatened, frightened, induced or bought… Death is the end of all human beings and may it come when God wills it to come.”..... These are words from elders that can see the end of a dark tunnel, its just unforunate that our elders don't see this when they are in power. funshint: OBJ pls go and sit down, the long and short of your So Long A Letter is that GEJ is no longer allowing u to rule from behind the stage as u feel u shud; given that you brought him to power and there is no sign that you can still have the chance to edge him out and bring in another candidate who will be 100% loyal to you in 2015. U have lost the grip. GEJ's administration of about 3 years old is far better than your 8 yrs old full tenure Nigerians must understand this ur letter as being a cry for lost of control over the govt and pdp.Bc the only thing that ever made you OBJ this display this kind of anger and madness was about thrid term agenda and i know what will make you again to do this is about a new term u have lost ur political relevance. sorry i cant tk u serious on this letter. rubbish |

Leave the messenger, lets take the message. Doesn't the message contain some good truths? Why are Nigerians so myopic? Are we not liable for the same things OBJ is complaining about regarding Jonathan being unethical, ethnical, selfish and corruption soaked? Let's be reasonable for once fellow Nigerians. Are we making any progress at all; in the power sector, education, infrastructure, institutional reforms, electoral reforms, economic renaissance. Why did it take the FG all of 6 months before doing what they ought to have done since the first month of the strike - what ASUU demanded that they do which they have eventually shamefully done now. Why, why all the waste of valuable school time, one whole semester gone because government was footdragging in the hope it will eventually outsmart ASUU and keep the money for themselves instead of spending on education. Obasanjo may have done a few things wrong as a leader and past president. That does not mean he doesn"t have brains and brawns anymore. He has spoken well on this issue. Therefore, let's give him some credit. How many of our so called leaders took the same bold step that Obasanjo has just taken to tell Mr. President the home truths about the state of affairs in Nigeria? Is it until Nigeria is caught up in fire before we start looking for people to blame? This ethnicity thing and "he is my brother" mentality is ruining Nigeria. And the cause can be traced to the principles of zoning which gives certain sections of the country the right to the highest offices in the land based on agreed formula. The "my brother" mentality is caused by zoning. It not only throws up ethnic jingoists, but often times produce leaders who were ill-prepared and are ill qualified for public offices. Let this zoning thing be thrown overboard and let all those who want to seek public offices, particularly at the national level, from all sections of the country go to the field to contest. This open process is sure to produce the best crop of leaders in a free and fair election contest, where votes count. 2 Likes |

OBJ is only crying , he cant change anything if he likes let him join APC, GEJ will win 2015 presidential election bc he is doing well and can do better. I may not score him 100% , but i believe if he works harder he will be there. |

byrron: Tony Basikoro This is the case of d kettle calling d pot black.Obasanjo is notoriously known for his unquenchable taste for corruption ranging from his unexplainable sudden stupendous wealth, his daughter's bribery collection saga, overnight riches of his cronies,d halliburton case to Atiku's confession of both being partners in corruptible crime backed by evidence etc while in office. If he were a master of conflict resolution using carrot n stick strategy, why did he fail to apply same to solving d niger-delta militancy?instead,he fought d militants brute force for force. It took d wisdom of president Yaradua of blessed memory to resolve d militancy.A war and brute force monger like Obasanjo should advise d deads n not nigerians who know him inside out.Is it gov Lamido who he wants at all cost to succeed Jonathan that is not corrupt? how honest was Obasanjo during his time in keeping promises that he has now become d purveyor of keeping or honouring agreement?he shuold know dat an agreement observed or exercised in bad faith n deceit like d supposed one with Jonathan cannot stand in d court of morality. When has it become a norm to ask a person to forbid a second term as a prerequisite to contesting an election?such is tantamount as acting under duress n intimadation for what is suppose to be d constitutional right of d person.Obasanjo shud be ashamed to have stated dat as a precondition for Jonathan to contest.Did he ask late Yaradua same question before forcing him to contest?why did Obasanjo not honour same gentlleman's agreement when Atiku insisted they had one before he contested in 1999?is it because Jonathan is from d minority dat he has to be given preconditons to contest even where such conditions infringe on his fundamental human n constitutional rights?nigerians have not forgot his third term ambition n his inability to speak out against it or condemn those who were purveying it .This only goes to show dat OBJ is an insidious enemy of nigeria n not Jonathan. Infact you are a genius. U spoke my mind. God bless u |

OBJ is the worst tribalist , a false patriot and the worst bigot that has ever ruled Nigeria. A check on the privatisation of the Oil Industry down stream companies when he greedily doubled as the Minister of petroleum and the president of the country (the vociferous Activist like the hypocrite femi falana, wole soyinka all kept quiet) National oil now conoil was sold to Adenuga at less than the price of the company and yet obasanjo looked the other way Agip petroleum now Oando was sold to Wale Tinubu at highly discounted price and the whole watch dogs kept mute Texaco now MRS was sold to Dangote another of OBJ men African Petroleum now Fort Oil or FO was sold to another of his kins men in the person of Mike Otedola 4 National oil companies 3 were sold to yorubas and 1 to hausa/fulani in a country that is as divers as nigeria and no body said anything or criticised the president even when the sales were fraudulently done NICON insurance was sold to Jimoh Ibrahim even when he didn't have the cash and the still allowed him to buy Nigeria Airways from Virgin Nigeria At the End of the day the crude oil owned by Niger Deltans were sold to Yorubas and dangote by the worst tribalist and bigot ever in the history of Mankind if this is not worse than Apartheid then what can be worse than apartheid and the same devil that wanted a thrid term has the effontery to accuse Jonathan of dividing the country and going for a second term |

Obj does not have the moral right to accuse Gej of corruption. That Obj reeks of filth is not news; that we allow ourselves to be carried away by the messenger and not the message is my concern here. As far as the message was concerned, Obj was spot on! GEJ's leadership calls for concern. Despite his short-comings, Obj's patriotism remains undiluted and that is incontestable! 1 Like |

It is rather unfortunate that our General in this country have failed to realize that the bane of corruptions in Nigeria were planted and nursed by them. How can OBJ, the father of corruption, point accusing fingers at other concerning corruption. Maybe he has forgotten that what others did after him was following his foot-steps. If he has forgotten, the Ota Farm is the property of FG. The N300billion for road construction which was shared between him and Aninih is yet to be accounted for. He was the Minister of petroleum most of his tenure without accounting to the country what came in and what was actually spent. Ajaokuta Steel is in a mess today due to the deal between him, his son and Solegas. What of Iyabo share of the booty of the Aviation money? What came out of it- did he not block the case? Did he actually fought corruption? All those he projected as being corrupt were those he used indirectly to fight his Vice, Attiku or those who failed to dance his music the way he wanted them to. He is equally known to be the father of 3rd Term. He should allow GEJ to be focused in what he is doing rather that throw spanners in the wheel of progress. GEJ has the right which is conferred on him by the constitution to go for a 2nd Term. Coming from a minority is not a crime. After all, he OBJ never wanted GEJ to be President in the first place (please read the confession of El-Rufai). OBJ please leave GEJ alone. Don't out of jealousy try to dent his image because he so far shown he is an achiever - in 2 years, he has surpassed what did in 8 years. |

He could have regrets for somethings he did wrongly or could have done better and this was is golden opportunity to correct it a little and posterity will judge him right for speaking up in the face of wanton corruption. Leave the messenger and face the message. Debunk the message and not the messenger. Even God used donkey to speak to Balaam in the bible, how much more the clueless president. At least obj demonstrated gut to fight corruption. What has the Dundee Utd we have as a president to even show he has the liver to tackle it. He is busy wining and dining in corruption, committee setting president. Our president is an active participant in the looting of the nation and it is so clear he has no control over his aides. I regret ever voting for him. When will he set up committee on obj'sir letter too? Keep deceiving yourself on GEJs achievements. Tell us in concrete terms and not the esoteric lies of economic jargons, that he has achieved. Tell us the projects he conceived initiated an completed solely? It is only a president that does not have something substantial to show that will be giving us economic indices that are not translating to anything in the lives of average Nigerians. 1 Like |

By his (OBJ) own admission ,the monsters bedeviling Nigeria today where actually a product of OBJ govt between 1999 & 2007. Now, why does OBJ want GEJ and his govt to make all the concessions? What is he and the others involved in the fight giving up? If indeed he wants peace and the national interest is overriding all other interests, then I think he and the others should simply give up their pursuit of 'no 2nd term for GEJ', if the man insists on contesting! They should simply let GEJ, then convince us other Nigerians that there is a better alternative. We will be wise enough to discern and decide who leads us come 2015. Moreover, if GEJ should continue till 2019, Nigeria does not have to burn. There is always a time for a change and it never fails to come, even 2019! As for GEJ, I can only hope for better times for him...but I ask, is it really that important for him to continue being the president of Nigeria beyond 2015? Even in the face of these powerful enemies? I belief he is spent and need to retire peacefully - he definitely cannot solve all of Nigeria's problems even in 20 years. |

It's better to address issues and stop murdering peopl's characters. GEJ to the best of our knowledge is a failure. Why would you see his failures as accentuated by the said letter as a propaganda by the APC. If GEJ is wiser, he'd simple let his supposed transformation agenda, transform the lives of Nigerians and put food on their tables not to have a consenting body language to corruption and remain illusive and distance. Let him come out and talk to Nigeria not those sycophants like Maku, Abati, Doyin, and the likes. Frank-C: |
