No fewer than 1,000 youths drawn from the 17 local government areas of Plateau State are undergoing counter-terrorism training handled by Israeli security experts.They are being trained under arrangement with the Israel Security Academy, a protection and counter terrorism training centre.The youths, according to the Coordinator of the Plateau State Special Anti-robbery squad, ‘Operation Rainbow’, Air Vice Marshall Bala Danbaba (Rtd), are part of the 4,000 youths trained by operatives of the State Security Service, the police and Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Coprs as neighborhood watchers.The group is to defend and serve as early warning birds in the 325 wards in the state where they have been deployed in.Danbaba, who addressed newsmen in Jos on Wednesday, said the youths, drawn from all the religious denominations and tribes, were expected to serve as trainers to their colleagues already in the field.He dispelled fears that the youths were being trained as local militia to fight some perceived enemies, saying those being trained were drawn from all the religious denominations and tribes in the state.The coordinator said the purpose was for the youths to be able to defend themselves and their localities against attacks and to provide information on such attack to the headquarters for prompt action.

This had to have been approved by NSA and the President before government will spend budgeted money training youths for terrorism. Right?

So who will control these bunch when they start to unleash their own terror on people?
