i have never been to Warri before but since the govt failed to do the "pressing need" and they consider airport as needs , then lets welcome it with open hands, and morever ds airport will bring about some of ds infrastural dev to d community

what are u trying to justify? Come to Agbor and see, he has been using one whole tenor to tare a single "old lagos/Asaba road in Agbor. The project has been ongoing since 2008 and is not yet completed till date, a road not more than 5km. Aside from that road, there is no other existing project(s) in Agbor. Thumbs up 4 Ibori, Ibori had served Deltans better when compared to Uduaghan. All Uduaghan has achieved since inception is building "international airport". Delta state is among the richest states in Nigeria with nothing to show 4 it. Go to Edo state and see what Adams Oshiomole is doing even with the state's little resources. How can u have "2" international airports in a usle.ss state like Delta? Who and who will use the airline? Will they have passenges? What are people comming to do in Delta? No tourist attraction, no industry, no big market 4 busness like "onitsha" The airpots re going to be dormant I swear. This is just a rivalry of the urhobo people, they want to have airpot bcox Asaba had. Is it by just building d airpots? Whoose persons re gonna be travelling via the airpot. Delta is not even fit 4 two local airpots, talkmore of "international" Silly govt. It's hight time Anioma state is created. Look, Mr Uduaghan; u have money to build "airpot" but u don't have money to pay contractors handling our road. This governor had so much marginalised Delta north. Am just waiting 4 effcc to pick him after 2015. Cheers!!!

Its sad people don't believe in the Govt, I don't actually but sometimes its important to take people for their word.... I work in the company doing the job and I can tell you categorically that the job is for real not an upgrade of the existing structure and we have competent people handling that project and others within and around the state. Yes. We. Can.

lols, oh my God, If Oshiomole is a failure, then how can we now describe Uduaghan; he is greater than failure, infact: failure, failurer, failurest; Uduaghan is "failurest" Edo state is lucky they didn't had Uduaghan, if not, by now; all those tarred roads, beautiful ring road would have been a disappointment. Anytime I see the beautiful schools well built and renovated by Oshio baba, I cry 4 Delta state. Why would Delta not be called "usel.ess"? When Delta's resource is far way larger than Edo's. Like the woman Oshiomole told to go and die, Edo people re even lucky to have good roads to trade on. Come to delta, u can't trade on the road, except u want to display ur goods in muds on the roads.

Hey guy hold your own there. Don't start being tribalistic here or else I'll tell you history that your folks didn't tell you. For your information the Urhobos were the first settlers in Delta state as a whole and the fact that we tolerate you Ibos that deny your lineage does not mean we don't know that your rightful place is across the Niger with your fellow Ibos. Delta state is in a very sorry state indeed. It is one of the richest state in this country but also the most blatantly mismanaged. A situation worsened by the ethnic divisions in the state. Tell me what is the need for awarding contract for another international airport in the state when the on at Asaba is far from being completed. Asaba remains the ONLY state capital that does not have a step down transformer ( the government has been building one for the past 16 years with absolutely nothing to show. The result is that as of today, the state capital is being serviced by a single line from Obosi, the same line that serviced Asaba when it was a LGA head qtr . Till date that line has not been upgraded. The result is an average of 2h electricity or worse / day is Asaba and environs.
There is NO state government hospital in Asaba, No roads ,No functioning municipal water supply
No stadium ,absolutely no functional government amenity in Asaba . After 16 yrs of democracy in one of the richest state in the country this is pitiable situation. So another international airport in Warri is unnecessary and waste in a state that has not provided basic amenities for its citizens

The politics in Delta State has come into play ones again. Because there is an International airport in the Delta Northern part of the state, the Delta Central part needs one, soon the Southern part will come agitating for one. Since the commissioning of the Asaba international Airport, as at the last time i travelled, i discovered it was just 2 airplanes (Overland and Arik) that goes to Asaba, and we are talking of building the second one.

This is a State that has 2 govt/governor houses one in the Northern senatorial, while the second at the Central senatorial district (Annex).

This is a state that has 2 state owned and financed radio/ TV houses. One in the Northern senatorial and second in the Central Senatorial. (Delta TV and Delta Rainbow TV respectively.)

This is a state that has 3 state owned and sponsored polytechnics. One in the North, second in the South and third at the central (Ogwashi uku, Oghara and Ozorro)

This is a state that has 1 state owned and financed University with 3 campuses. One in the North, second in the south and third in the central.
(Asaba , Abraka and Oleh campuses).
This is a state that has one of the highest federal allocation and yet has nothing to show for it.

Because of these politics that is why u have a lot of abandoned projects everywhere in the state.. Asaba - Ughelli Expressway has been under construction for the past four and half years and yet they have not done 3km from the Asaba end.

my questions now are, HAS UDUAGHAN FINISHED THE CONSTRUCTION OF THE INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT IN ASABA? Has UDUAGHAN finished with the construction of Warri park? Why has UDUAGHAN decided to put his hands in his throat, does he not know he will vomit?

Under the watchful eyes of UDUAGHAN, serious employment racket has been going on in Delta state...

Why are we wasting resources in this state? why cant we channel our resources to important issues...
cry

@ litetias Please tell me the history of the Ibos in delta. I really will want to know. ….
You can not say you are tolerating a people who do not want to be with you .The Anioma people are not begging to be in delta state. Consider this, will any part of the state will tolerate your peope if delta should split? your people have been in leadership the state since its inception and have messed things up . You not deserve to ever be in power again

Governor Uduaghan please stop and think again. Is this a priority? First provide water, good tarred roads with drainages and power all over Delta State before this international airport. What is really wrong with these governors with so much misplaced priorities? Why would an educated governor act like he's stack illiterate? I guess the corrupt mind thinks and acts wrong always!
