He has every right to write off the Super Eagles. The three times Argentina met the Eagles at the world cup, they won abeit by narrow margin.

Who would see the current argentine squad and not fret at the thought of playing against them? Head to head, they are better. We are no match for them when we compare the experience and achievement of each argentine player to the super eagles players.

I'm very sure most Nigerians would not have even given any team a chance had we have the same set of players in the current argentine National team.

Maradona has aired his opinion, it is left for the Eagles to debunk his claim on the field of play. No need to make unnecessary noise.

the headline is a little misleading...what he said was that he expects argentina to win everyone in the group which is kind of normal looking at their ranking....it was not that he specifically single out nigeria out to lose(that would have been more disrespepctful)

Actually Argentina should be our easiest win in that group if we play well. The Argentine team won't even make it past the first knockout stage. They are a useless team

Maradona is right... On paper, we have no chance. We don't have a Messi or an Aguero in our team. If you combine the number of goals these two have scored for their respective clubs, it would scare you.

However, football is not played on paper but on the pitch. We should qualify runners up behind Argentina and anything we get afterwards should be a bonus.

If we prepare well, we can get to the quarters. Preparing well, I mean;

1) We already have a base ready in Brazil approx very close to where we will play most of our group matches

2) The base in Brazil has all available facilities you could think of, from exercise to recreation.

3) If Keshi wants a base in America, Florida would be ideal ( proximity and climate). The base should be all-purpose, with everything you could think of.

4) Keshi should open the base 2 or 3 months prior to the start of competition and should start working with home base players pending the arrival of foreign based.

5) Keshi and the FA should take advantage of the vast sport scientists ( fitness expert, physiotherapists, etc) America possess and should employ the very best to work with Super Eagles.

He has an idea what he is talking about but is really not clear in his head the folly of it. He perfected the art of taking a cocktail of drugs and he used it extensively while playing withthe eagles but that enhancement has been his rise and fall. Today, his teammates wont take that coctail and wont perform at that level. We will meet them and play them on a level playing ground, with clear eyes, the rest will wait till after 90minutes.
