You can either float them or use tables.

Its simple, if you have a create a css command like this
.Pics{
Float:left;
}

Now right ur html for the first image like this:

<Img src="yourimagelinl" class="pics" />

Please donot put class for the second image
Now this is how they should look like
<Script>.pics{float:left};</script>
<Img src="your first mage link" class="pics" />

Then you can write the mark up for the second image

Where the image src is.
