A housewife has
committed suicide in Ikorodu Area of Lagos
State following her discovery that another
woman put to bed for her husband in
Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital.
The deceased, Mrs. Ibironke Sanni whose
husband, Mr. Sanni Ajibola, is the Personal
Assistant to a chieftain of All Progressives
Congress was found dead on Monday in her
apartment.
It was alleged by her husband and his family
led by his father who is the Chairman of
Neighbourhood Watch, Alh. M.K. Sanni that
the mother-of-two took a drink of Sniper, a
brand of insecticide.
However, the family of the deceased have
objected to the suicide claim, saying Mrs.
Ibironke Sanni, may have been strangled to
death.
It was said that the deceased’s family were of
the opinion that there was more to
Ibironke’s death than they were told by their
in-laws, and have reported the matter to
Policemen at Igbogbo division in Ikorodu,
who as at yesterday, were yet to ascertain
the exact cause of the death of the 31-year-
old woman.
