Im astudent of one university in Nigeria,but right from my primary,secondary school,i never read to understand, i alway Cramm everything we were being taught in Class.but now that i got to university i have now face reality that Cramming cannt help here but i cannt read to understand.and im studying Banking and Finance?,Pls, My esteem nairalander,wht shall I do, and my mom promised me to continue schooling, but im fed up with the way im coping in the university.? Any suggestions,Advice.? |

@topic. I don't think one can read and understand in such subjects that involves lot of notes. I think it's only calculations that u read,get the formulas and understand how to go about solving the problem..well I'd advised that u shouldn't just read(cram) to pass a pending exam rather u shud read(cram) to make dat wch u've read embedded in ur cerebral.u know by rehearsing sth u read say everytime in d kitchen,toilet, bathroom anywhere in ur mind then when u forget a line or two u go bak to ur book and get it right. I think that way what u've read sinks inside you and u would be ready to answer any question(s) relating to that which you ve read be it in d exam hall or an impromptu or whatever... Lastly; make what u read be part of you. Just as u can say d national anthem and pledge ANYTIME. 1 Like |

My 2cent.-Always link what you are Reading With Real Life Situation, Try to redefine any concept in your own way,,,,etc...Cramming and Understanding go hand-in-hand,..There is no way you can confidently sits 4 an exam without Cramming....bla bla bla 1 Like |
