Could '4:30 Eyes' Be Hereditary? by uaphorism(m): 7:56am On Dec 31, 2013
A friend of mine, has found someone he wishes to get married to.. Infact, he has engaged her..the only snag here is, the lady in question is 'cross-eyed' that is she has the '4:30 eyes'..
This dude isn't struggling at all, as a matter of fact, he's handsome, tall, wealthy, bla bla bla..however, this girl meets his every standards and he has decided to tie the knot with her..
His only palaver is if the ish could be transferred to his children..
I told him that if his wife-to-be with her 'cross eye' could get a good man to marry, then his children have no problem..he should simply give em proper training.. What do you guys think?

its called strabismus!...
And its a 50:50 thing, it can be conginetal or chromosomal!... I mean it can be hereditary or as a result of one or two defects in chromosomes/genes!.. While in few cases, it can be structural or due to injury!...

But sincerely typing, there's almost nothing wrong wif people wif crossed eyes, atleast they can see almost perfectly like people wif normal eyes, if the she truely loves that dude, den his eyes aint a problem!...
Abi nor be person dey marry blind man?

You are correct. It could be congenital or chromosomal. It could also be caused by eye diseases. However, the most common culprit is high refractive errors and subsequently amblyopia.

So, most times, their vision is not that "perfect". wink

Even if it is passed down to the kids, there is treatment for it. Since he now knows it exists in the family, then they should be proactive about getting their children's eyes screened from an early age by an eye specialist. That way it can be detected early and addressed. And definitely by the age of 3-5 to prevent the vision problem that can happen in the lazy eye.

Not a good enough reason to not marry someone IMO.

We've heard about the dangers associated with gel manicures and breast implants, but we've never heard of a hairstyle being hazardous to our health -- until now.
