Why Not Let Me Die by Docii001(m): 8:04pm On Jan 03, 2014 |
Heartbroken and feeling helpless, Badly ill or maybe just emotional stress I look to the skies and see no God,just clouds of misery I feel my heart lost under the pain with my thoughts derisory. Albeit my soul yearns for life but I'm a beaten man Beaten by the wrong side of the world... I look to the skies, and I ask 'why not let me die' If you hear me just let me fly Fly to a place where there is no pain I ask again 'why not let me die' The tears trickle down my cheek as my fever rises I'm a beaten man, beaten by the old ladies broom. Lying still I reminisce on this journey Alas the world is wicked to the kind, And kind to the undeserving... I look not to the skies because there lies no answer Rather I say a prayer but still no answer Where are the angels? Its dark here I want to hear them sing Comfort me and give me rest From this cruel and unending thirst More water I drink, yet no satisfaction I tell them not water I need I need something for my heart My poor heart,I feel it tired Drained from giving Starved from not receiving I'm a beaten man, beaten by my actions Conquered by my pure intentions And humbled by mans evil inventions. Many years I tried to understand Yet I found myself lost Lost in love, found by pain. I close my eyes and find a moments peace Only to be awaken by that fever from hell Tired and beaten,I ask again 'why not let me die?' |
