But a good Bond is never afraid to get injured. Remember Craig got injured during the filming of Quantum of Solace (dislocated his shoulder or smthing).
Anyhow when you come for the afore-mentoned briefing you will see my own version of "The Spy Who Bit Me". . . (ever heard of "love bites"? Bond will show you )

Talking of pot- bellies, I noticed that Sean Connery was developing a bit of a paunch in his later movies like Diamonds (iice ) Are Forever.

All liars are in danger of hellfire o. And it is particularly serious if it is a lie against a Bond.No forgiveness for that one.Which kain pot belly. Well, perhaps in his last Bond movie, the one where spectre is the villain yet again, and he retires with the adorably innocent and unspoiled Bond girl.Never Say Never? I forget the title,but he was already graying, and might have had a wee belly. But that man aged very very very well. There was this creepy movie he did, where he was an elderly monk investigating a Monastery. His hair was all white and he was old in the movie,but I have never seen a better-looking older man.

Should I also add that after the vigorous "debriefing" Mad_Max became Mellow_Maxine ; and iice just melted and gushed. . . . ._{naughty, naughty}.

Right you are; the movie was "Never Say Never Again". And tho' I agree with you that Sean Connery has aged gracefully, he did have a rather full abdomen in said movie.

please could you give us a brief (OMG, that word again! ) account of the storyline without giving too much away. Heard it more or less continued from Casino Royale with a just heart-broken Bond.

Um. I recall you were drooling over his chest hair a few pages back. And now you notice he had a pot belly in Never Say Never. No carry me do boju boju. If you aren't gay, you're at least light-hearted.

Vesper didn't have to save his life,but she did. She promised to return the money Bond won in exchange for his life. And she went on to date him AFTER she had the code to the money. So she loved him. Interestingly she didn't bargain for her life,just Bond's. Which means she considered his life more important than hers, which means she loved him. So they were going to kill her after she handed over the money. She decided to beat them to it by offing herself.

Began Quantum of Solace,but left while they had Mr White out of the boot and M was talking to him. They broke the mold and the routine of Bond films with Casino Royale. They re-invented the franchise. One would expect them to keep this up and not revert to the ingredients they'd used in 22 other Bond movies; action overkill. I left cause I was afraid this might be the case. But I will definitely be watching it today.

PUSSY GALORE, Ian Fleming most definitely has lotsa unresolved issues.

Anyhow i havnt seen the Quantum of Solace 'cos i reside in Abj, who ever said a cinema aint important (now im forced to download it), where can i catch the movie, except online. Does anyone know when the Silverbird galleria's goin' be complete n opened.

They certainly are. Though Ian Fleming came up with Pussy Galore, for Bond girl moniker. They say she's in Goldfinger,at which I'm taking another look. I wont believe it until I hear it myself. Hilarious.

Finally saw Quantum.
I have to say,right away, that it is NOT in the same league as Casino Royale. Horrible music, and after Vesper's cool, enigmatic complexity,Olga is bland and unimpressive. Love the tan,though.

I'm puzzled as to why,after coming up with Casino Royale, which was cozy, intimate and murderously involving,they had to abandon something that works for more of the same kind of action they've been churning out for decades. Craig is now a killing machine,full of cold fury and ruthlesslessness, and he and Judi Dench are just about the only actors worth watching in the flick.

Hated M's new gadgety office. This movie couldn't have had the same director as the previous. The music ticked me off the most. After the incomparably cool You Know My Name for Casino Royale, they come up with this? I guess the Director was aiming for the console and gadget-mad teenage demographic, cos I don't know who else this movie could have been made for. Certainly not die-hard Casino fans.

Craig was great. Cruel and sexy as hell. Yum.
They'd better revert to Casino Royale formula in the next instalment,or else.

Brace yourself,Jedi Bond, Bond did not shag Olga. First time in Bond history the Bond girl and Bond did not hit the sack. I like that about the movie. But it's not in the same league as Casino. You'll like it. You're a guy.

A quick Wrong About the Movie.
This is what happens when you skip in and out of a movie and take in all of 20 minutes.
Really sat down to Quantum and it was good. Music was even okay,except for the horrible refrain.
In the same mould as Royale,though the latter is better.
Worth watching.
