What course are you applying for? & mode of entry? (NCE/A'LEVELS/HND/BSC)

hormorlorlah: i want 2 say a big thank u 2 every nairalanders dat has in 1 way or d other helped me wit important updates. If u are nt getting pin after sending ur payment details, it is either u bought 2 direct entry forms nd as a result jamb didnt send ur name to UI. Info gotten from MIS UI yesterday. If u are still unable to fill ur waec result, go down 2 MIS UI, some corrections and ammendments wud be made nd it wud be done. I did mine yesterday after visiting MIS UI.

In calculating your chances of getting admission into U.I through D.E, They use O'level which is 60% while A'levels/ND/NCE CGPA Is 40%. They also accept two sittings. Share your grades from the two sittings. It is calculated thus;
A1- 6 points
B2- 5 points
B3- 4 points
C4- 3 points
C5- 2 points
C6- 1 point

NB. Only your 6 relevant subjects are what you should calculate. 5 relevant subjects are for the one sittings only.

God will surely intervene and help you out. I do not have any info yet as per penalty for two forms but if what hormolorlah said is true, you'll have to pray that JAMB should have mercy and reverse its decision bcs UI has no capacity to give admission to any candidate whose name is not on JAMB list as applicant to the school. Even if you submitted your Reg No at MIS office in UI, the resolution is from JAMB office (my own opinion anyway).

I also remember I advised/warned people against using their own hands to disqualify themselves (buying multiple forms) at the beginning of this thread. The fact that JAMB has not been efficient over the years does not mean there can't be improvement in their system

though I re-logged in with M̶̲̥̅γ uname A̶̲̥̅̊₪d pin but i didn't tamper with any information there though some were seen blank but since I didn't re-enter any data A̶̲̥̅̊₪d didn't click on the next button link I fink am safe cos d existing data I entered in there database will still be there....

@alaoabiodun, Direct entry into any courses at UI did not calculate O level results as 60% and A levels/ ND, HND or any first degree as 40%. The admission office set cut off mark for each department for example, to read medicine Law or Pharmacy, you must have 15 points or over in your A levels or 2:1 in relevant first degree. But you must have corresponding O level credit pass in relevant subjects at one sitting. For other courses, UI accept O level results in 2 sittings, with relevant 2:1 in first degree or good GP in HND or OND or good A level grades.

I don't think d registration problem is due to (multiple form) coz i know sum1 who obtained 3 form and was able to register successful on Monday. so it may b due to traffic on d website as a result of d closing date dat is fast approaching. I hope dis help

Am very happy i had no issue whatsoever while doing d registration on monday,i want to say thanks to y'all d posts have been handy....i would like to advice people who stay in ibadan or its environ to go to UI and do both d payment and d registration dere just to be safe,am currently in lagos but people (ex Uites) told me to do dsame for safety wish turned out true...Then i'd like to know when d admissn list is likely to be out now that d utme merit list is out.

yeah. UI as first choice n lautech as second choice bt he made d payment n registration @ UI.

it is a 2 year programme,buh most schools in nigeria do it in one year sha.u can use it abroad nd in nigeria and you enter 200 level straight.I fink all skuls in nigeria accept it.its quite expensive and the price depends on the schools you do it.at the end of the year you write the exam and dats all

Yes you have a good chance of getting admission, I know for sure that MBBS is 15 points, and for pharmacy, elect, petroleum and law will peg their cut off mark at 13 or 14 points, any points less that 13, I'm afraid will read single honours courses

Wishing you best of luck, if you are applying via direct entry be sure of getting 14 or 15 points through A levels, while with first degree, have 2:1, less than that think of fall back course.
