I wonder why we Nigerians/Africans never believe in ourselves. We always feel we're inferior even when it's not so. In every single game the Dream Team has played most peeps had not given them a chance, yet they've consistently proven naysayers wrong.

Now @ the final game people have started with the defeatist attitude again. "Argentina is very good, they have Messi, Aguero, Riquelme,Mascherano. They're tricky, they're skilfull. . . " YADA,YADA,YADA.

This I say - We too are very good, we have Osaze, Nsofor, Ogbuke, Adeleye, Adefemi, Ajilore etc. Many of them have been playing together for 3/4 years. We have the physical strength of Africans with exposure to the tactics of the best from anywhere, be it Europe or S. America. Oh, did I forget to mention Siasia- the master tactician?

So I stand tall and beat my chest. I say we will not only beat the Argies but we will outshine them. Football I know is unpredictable, but if the match doesn't end in our favour it will be as a result of cheating/ unfair decisions a la the intrigues of football politics. No be today them dey subvert Africans.

Let's hear it for our boys who have come this far despite all odds (even from NFA/NFF's bungling & big headed players etc) and who are already heroes. God willing even the doubters will celebrate the Gold medal with us.

Since everything about tommorow match between Nigeria and Agentina has been compared to that of 1996 olympics, I want to know if Nigeria win the Gold if the celebration is going to be wild as that of 1996 even when the match will be played in the morning, (5am).
