Just wanna add that there's something successful people know & do that makes them successful that others dont know. So 2nri would you be kind enough to prolly walk some us thru on how you positioned yourself,the preparation, the case study materials and interview techniques and the likes that gave you the edge for this job. Am sure we will learn 1 or 2 things

For one, the pay is higher. yea I like money
Kpmg is bigger than EY, in Nig @least
I'm nt ACA qualified yet, wit kpmg I dnt av to worry abt saving for dt out of my salary
Kpmg offers more days of study leave compared to 20 days EY offers.
And I put in so much effort in2 kpmg's recruitment whereas its like EY just landed in my laps with little effort from me.
I'm still looking into both firms, I haven't made a final decision. All d above is jst my own limited wisdom, I pray for God's guidance

I can relate to some of your points. Obviously u r for assurance/audit dept depending on the firm. Thanks for sharing and All the best in making your final decision.

Well its jst God cos after my first interview in Dec 2013 wit one investment coy whr it was basically a discussion abt current trends, I'm ashamed to say I tot Disco meant d normal disco party. Tnk God I didn't actually say it out loud, I was smart enuf to knw a discussion abt FG nd ASUU shdnt be followed by party talk. The only thing I've done differently since then is become a mini aboki. I love me my radio, if its called news, I'm on it like white on rice. Nairaland also helped a lot. Wish y'all d best with your search

Kaydada, 2nri. Both of u shouldn't even think much on the issue. Go for kpmg, E&Y is not well structured in Nigeria, they're still growing. The recruitment slightly controversial, (no disrespect to those who got offers) I've a friend who didn't write the unilag test, got his offer letter on friday.

Thanks. lol @ mini aboki. I guess i'd start taking a queue from you from that point. maybe it will help me position better for the other big four( Deloitte and Kpmg) i applied to recently after i got a regret mail from EY.

I know for sure that they respond in batches, got a reply two nd a half weeks after I had my AC, which was almost in accordance with what HR said. Seen as you had yours in august, I guess you should just wait, pray, keep a positive spirit and expect your mail.
