I live in Seattle, every week the club I support draws between 40,000-50,000 fans to watch the team in MLS which Obafemi Martins plays for. 75% of these people are NOT immigrants but they are young adults like me who grew up playing the sport and watching MLS, the EPL, La Liga etc. By the way, Clint Dempsey the USA captain and the young right back/wingback DeAndre Yedlin play for Seattle alongside Obagoal and Yedlin was born in Seattle and went to high school near the stadium he plays in. He graduated from Seattle Sounders Academy to the Seattle U23 team and then won his spot over Swedish national team right back Adam Johannson at the age of 19.

Now he is on the World's stage in less than 3 years.

As for football's rise....
