Injured Musa Yahaya Returns To Spurs

Tottenham Hotspur youth-teamer Musa Yahaya has returned to London to begin his rehabilitation after tearing his knee ligament while on international duty with Nigeria's Under 20 National Team.

Spurs doctors are working around the clock to get Musa Yahaya fit for the Fifa Under 20 World Cup in just over two months time, assuming Nigeria qualifies for the tournament in Oceania.

"Musa Yahaya has gone back to Tottenham Hotspur; he left last weekend. Spurs sent him a ticket," a source close to the Mutunchi Academy product informed SL10.ng.

"He is already getting better. He has started receiving treatment, and has five weeks to recover.

"As soon as the treatment is over, Yahaya will come and join the Flying Eagles for the Under 20 World Cup."

The White Hart Lane outfit have refused to point an accusing finger at the Nigeria Football Federation, as the attacking midfielder's trip to Africa to train with the Flying Eagles was authorized by the club.

"They are not angry, he played a friendly game and for the national team. His trip to Nigeria was sanctioned, so they are not angry," he concluded.

If Musa Yahaya does not suffer a relapse, he'll be in tip-top condition by mid-April, which is six weeks before the start of the Fifa Under 20s.

Ugbade: We Want To Surpass Flying Eagles Of 2005

Flying Eagles assistant coach, Nduka Ugbade has told SL10.ng that the overall objective of their team is to surpass the class of 2005, coached by Samson Siasia.

Ugbade, a former Nigeria international, reckons that the 2005 set of U20’s is the best the country has produced over the last 20 years, and says he hopes his team can surpass them.

“I think the set of 2005 coached by Siasia has been the best U20 in like 20 years or so,” he began.

“They won the AYC, got to the final of the World Cup and almost won it. Besides that, they also played very well and they had a load of very good players,” he told SL10.ng.

When told of the enormous regard for his team, Ugbade was modest enough to admit they haven’t won anything yet, but talks about their potential.

“I know how people see us and we really appreciate that. But the truth is, we haven’t won anything as U20’s yet, so maybe we’re not yet as good as the 2005 U20.

“But we have great potentials and I think we can surpass them. We also have what I think is a much younger team and if we go on to do well at the AYC, then go on to win the World Cup, I guess we’d be up there.

“But this is not just about going to win the World Cup, it is about us teaching the boys how to play the right way with the science that governs the game,” he posited.

Eze: We Want To Start AYC With A Big Win

Flying Eagles forward, Chidera Ezeh, says he hopes they can start their 2015 Africa Youth Championship campaign with a big win.

The 20th edition of the competition gets underway today in Dakar, Senegal, with the hosts as Nigeria’s first opponents, but Ezeh says he couldn’t care less who the opposition was, all he wants is a big win for him and his teammates.

“We want to start the competition in a big way and we want to start with a big win on Saturday,” he said to SL10.ng.

When reminded that they start their campaign against hosts, Senegal, the FC Porto starlet says that doesn’t bother him.

“It doesn’t bother me who our first opponents are. I’m only concerned in us getting a win; a big win. Whether it’s Senegal or not doesn’t bother me, and neither does it concern me,” he said confidently.

The Nigerians are missing some star names, like Chidiebere Nwakali, Kelechi Iheanacho, Musa Yahaya and Wilfred Ndidi.

And Ezeh reckons it is a huge blow to their team, but remained upbeat they still have a formidable squad.

“We obviously will miss those guys because they are very good players and we have been together since the U17’s.

“But we also have other very good players here now, and we want to make the best use of what we have so that we can be successful,” he added.

Chukwudi Urges Flying Eagles To Stay Focused

Former Flying Eagles defender, Fortune Chukwudi, has charged the Nigerian U20’s to make the country proud as they start their Africa Youth Championship campaign on Saturday.

The Nigerian U20’s will kick-start their 2015 Africa Youth Championship campaign against hosts Senegal on Saturday in the first game of the competition and Chukwudi has advised the team to remain focused on not get carried away.

“I wish them all the best in this competition and I hope they can stay focused and follow the game plan their coaches must have put forward.

“They also should understand that the U20 is different from the U17 level and as a result, it may not be as easy as it was during the U17’s.

“From some of their games I have seen, I think they have very good players and I think they are a very good team, and they showed it during the Super 6.

“But playing at the Africa Youth Championship will be different to what they are used to and they must be able to cope with the pressure and expectations because Nigerians are really expecting a lot from them,” he said.

The Nigerian team departed Nigeria on Wednesday, and have already had training sessions in Dakar, where they will play Senegal tomorrow.

Garba Wary Of Senegal Threat

Flying Eagles coach, Manu Garba has told sl10.ng that he expects a very tough challenge from hosts Senegal in tomorrow’sAfrica Youth Championship opener.

The Nigerians are already in Dakar for the 20th Africa Youth Championship and play hosts Senegal at the Stade Léopold Sédar Senghor, and Manu admits they’re in for a tough battle.

“The game against Senegal will be tough for several reasons,” he told sl10.ng. “First, they’re hosts and would want to start the competition on a good note.

“Secondly, they always produce good teams at this level and we cannot take anything for granted.

“Being our first game, we know how tough it can get and I hope we will be up for it,” he stated.

The former Golden Eaglets coach, however, says his team is prepared to face the challenges that will be posed by the Senegalese.

“In as much as we expect it to be tough, I can say we are ready for the challenge ahead from the Senegalese.

“We will give it our best shot and I’m sure they also know we have a good team,” he said.

The Flying Eagles will also play Congo and Ivory Coast in group A, and will secure a ticket to the New Zealand 2015 FIFA U20 World Cup if they progress to the semi-final.

Saheed: I Am Fit And Ready

Young central defender Abdulganiyu Saheed has revealed that he is fully fit and is counting on his inclusion in the Flying Eagles African Youth Championship squad to prove his mettle.

The Ace Academy skipper was named as part of Coach Manu Garba's 21-man squad due to start the 20th edition of the tournament on Sunday against hosts Senegal in Dakar.

“Everything is fine and I'm so happy for my inclusion. Normally, if you have the chance to represent your nation at a big tournament like the AYC, it makes you great. It will help you know the level of quality you have because you are going to meet a lot of strikers and that is where you will see it yourself whether you are a good player or you are not a good player so it’s a challenge,” the no nonsense defender told SL10 reporter Abayomi Ademetan.

The young centre-back was one of six defenders named in the list alongside team captain Musa Muhammed, Mustapha Abdullahi, Samuel Okon, Izuchukwu Omego and Bello Zaharadeen.

During the Super Six in Abuja he played three times in the five games the Flying Eagles played, and also got more playing time when tasted 90 minutes in the two-nil friendly win against the Black Satellites of Ghana.

Those two experiences have added to his confidence and ability, Nigerians should watch out for him.

Abdulganiyu will be scouted by FC Porto during the championship due to get underway on Sunday, while an unnamed team in Turkey already have him in mind for a summer transfer.

Nigeria’s first match will be against Senegal on 8th March at the Stade Leopold Senghor on Sunday evening and then play Congo three days later.

The final Group A match will be against Ivory Coast on 14th March at the Stade Caroline Faye.

Genk Coach: Simon Is Tired

Moses Simon's whirlwind start to his career in Belgium might be halted this weekend, as the 19-year-old is battling fatigue and might be on the bench when Gent take on Lierse in the Belgium Juplier league.

The Gent winter signing has twice been voted best player of the week in Belgium, aside from picking up four man of the award in seven games where he has six goals, a tally which includes a hattrick against Lokeren, but he is most likely going to start from the bench due to exhaustion from previous games.

Manager Hein Vanhaezebrouck made this known at his pre match conference, and also revealed the Nigerian didn't train all week long.

"Simon didn't train all week long, due to an overload of the abductor and only did light workout, though we are wary of the threat of Lierse in this weekend game we might be tempted to rest him and introduce him if need be" he said.

Rated the one of the best talents in Belgium, his goals and performances have played a big role in lifting Genk to third on the league log in Belgium, four points shy of leaders Club Brugge.

Congo chased out of stadium over unpaid fees

Congo U20 team were chased out of the French military stadium otherwise known as BIMA after local organisers for the 2015 AYC failed to pay up for the use of the facility.

Congo, who are in Group A along hosts Senegal, Nigeria and Cote d’Ivoire, could not train at the stadium because officials there said they were yet to be paid for the use of the arena.

The Iba Mar Diop Stadium is the other training ground for teams in Group A.

There have been a number of lapses in the organisation of the U20 tournament, which serves as a qualifying tournament for the 2015 FIFA U20 World Cup in New Zealand from May 30.

Local interest appears also not to be great as there has been very little to suggest a competition is being staged by Senegal.

Meanwhile, The Junior Red Devils have been joined by Silvere Ngavoula, who features for Moroccan club, and two other pros from French side AJ Auxerre – Charlevy Mabiala and Hardy Samarange Binguila.

Congo, AYC winners in 2007 when they hosted the competition, have been led to Senegal by national team coach Claude Le Roy.

They begin their campaign on Sunday against Cote d’Ivoire at the Leopold Sedar Senghor Stadium from 7.30 pm local time.

2015 AYC: Flying Eagles battle determined hosts Senegal

Nigeria’s Flying Eagles will begin their quest for a seventh African Youth Championship against determined hosts Senegal on Sunday at the Stade Leopold Sedar Senghor in Dakar.

Nigeria have won Africa’s U20 tournament a record six times - 1983, 1985, 1987, 1989, 2005 and 2011.

Senegal, on the other hand, have only featured in this competition twice, crashing out in the group stage in 1993 and 1995.

However, the Junior Lions under the tutelage of former Teranga Lions handler Joseph Koto are fired up to post a better showing in this tournament in front of their home fans.

Koto has picked nine foreign-based pros on his final squad with skipper Roger Gomis, a defensive midfielder who plays in the French lower league, widely regarded as the heart and soul of the team.

Koto has chopped and changed ‘Les Lionceaux’, but it seems this is paying off handsomely as they won their last two warm-up matches against Zambia and South Africa 1-0.

“Nigeria are not Zambia or South Africa,” warned assistant coach Malick Daf.

“It was crucial we won our warm-up matches because this will boost our confidence.

“But we have not been able to watch videos of the Nigerians, but all the same we want to win our opening game.”

The main objective for the host team is to reach the semi-finals and thus qualify for the FIFA U20 World Cup later in the year in New Zealand.

Nigeria have graduated eight players from the team who landed the 2013 FIFA U17 World Cup with the likes of skipper Musa Muhammed, Taiwo Awoniyi and Akinjide Idowu key players of the Flying Eagles Class of 2015.

Coach Manu Garba, who won his second U17 World Cup two years ago, has been upbeat about his team’s chances.

“We want to qualify for the World Cup in New Zealand as African champions and that means we have to win all our matches in Senegal,” he said.

“We may be without some players (Kelechi Iheanacho, Isaac Success, Wilfred Ndidi, Musa Yahaya), but we believe we have capable replacements for them.”

Kick-off time is 4.30pm local time, which is 5.30 pm Nigerian time.

Weather conditions are favourable for good football – fairly cold and windy with a high sun – while the pitch is in excellent condition.

Awoniyi Shines, As Flying Eagles Begins AYC Quest In Style

Nigeria opened its African Youth Championship campaign on a positive note as Taiwo Awoniyi scored twice in a 3-1 win over hosts Senegal at the Stade Leopold Senghor on Sunday night.

Awoniyi got the Flying Eagles off to a perfect start, breaking the deadlock against the Young Lions in the tenth minute after benefitting from a long pass from the back.

The striker doubled the advantage three minutes later in the same manner.

He beat goalkeeper Seydou Sy to the ball before wrong footing a defender and netting his second goal of the night.

Sidy Sarr capitalised on a mix up in the 18-yard area, before slooting a low shot past Joshua Enaholo, who was outstanding for the Nigerian side.

Attacking midfielder Ifeanyi Matthew added a third late in the first half for Manu Garba's team.

Nigeria's next match will be against Congo on 11th March at the Stade Leopold Senghor.

The final Group A match will be against Ivory Coast on 14th March at the Stade Caroline Faye.

Here's how they line up:

Flying Eagles: Enaholo, Muhammed, Abdullahi, Bello, Omego, Ifeanyi, Idowu, Matthew, Bulbwa, Ezeh, Awoniyi

Bordeaux, Panthinaikos And Anderlecht Scout Taiwo Awoniyi

SL10.ng can confirm that scouts representing a number of top clubs in Europe will be in the stands on Sunday when the Nigeria Under 20 National Team take on their Senegalese counterparts at the African Youth Championship.

Bordeaux, Panthinaikos, RSC Anderlecht, AEK Athens and Red Bull Salzburg have posted scouts to monitor at close quarters Flying Eagles strikers Taiwo Awoniyi and Saleh Usman.

Other players in the squad that are on their radar include midfielders Akinjide Idowu, Obinna Nwobodo and Abdullahi Alfa, while defenders Mustapha Abdullahi and Bello Zaharadeen will also be scouted.

Despite signing a preliminary contract with Kalmar shortly after the 2013 Fifa Under 17s, the primary focus of the emissaries is on Taiwo Awoniyi, who is believed to be attracting attention from an unnamed Italian club as well.

Also, a top Norwegian agent, who has the ears of Molde, Sarpsborg 08 and Lillestrom, will run the rule over the Flying Eagles stars today in the game against Senegal.

The team were not at their best but that will do. I am more interested in the world cup qualification than winning the African Championship because the team can get a whole lot stronger. Centre back is a big headache.

The team was better in the second half.

Nice Taiwo Awoniyi was tidy in his finishing. If Awoniyi can be neat in his finishing, I see him becoming a World Class hitman for a top club. His positional awareness is fantastic and he makes nice runs to receive passes.

Congrats to the Flying Eagles.

Great skills, Good positional sense, Great counter attacking prowess. However they pass d ball too unneccesarily especially in dangerous areas. They can get purnished by a team that knows how to play direct football.

They mayb good enough to lift d AYC bt definely nt good enough to win d WYC.

I believe inclusion of Succèss, Iheanacho, Yahaya and Nwakali in d WYC team would make a lot of difference.

Parting shot: Enaholo is better than Alampasu. That guy should be invited to d Super Eagles soon after d WYC.

AYC: Garba pleased with F/Eagles win

Flying Eagles coach Manu Garba has said his team’s 3-1 win over hosts Senegal is a first major step in their quest to qualify for the FIFA U20 World Cup.

First-half goals by Taiwo Awoniyi and Ifeanyi Matthew gave Nigeria the full points on the opening day of the 2015 AYC.

Important

- It is our first three points of a very important competition, Manu said after the game.
- The result of any opening game is very crucial in a tournament like this and we are grateful to God we won.

- We have now taken a foot towards qualifying for the World Cup.

Focus

- We did not know a lot about Senegal before the match, but the boys did a good job.

- But we have also put this game behind us and our focus is on our next game on Wednesday (against Congo).
Disappointed Senegal skipper Roger Gomis promised his team will post an improved outing against Cote d’Ivoire in their next Group A game.

Hard work

- We will continue to work harder and for the next game we will be better, he vowed.

Nigeria now sit on top of Group A, as the second game between Congo and Ivory Coast ended 1-1

Alhassan ibrahim seems to have lost his old touch because it baffles me how chidera eze gets picked ahead of him. Through out the super6 he was not used. Against Ghana in the friendly he played a little role. And against Senegal.... he was simply off. Imagine a substitute being substituted. He was so confused by the act but it was obvious. Thank u Manu for the observations. If he is not good enough dont patch him up unnecessarily no matter how close to you his agent is like Keshi's players.

SL10 Chats To Nduka Ugbade
Interview With Nduka Ugbade

Following their 3-1 win over hosts Senegal in the opening fixture of the 2015 Africa Youth Championship, sl10.ng speaks exclusively to former Nigeria international and Flying Eagles assistant coach, Nduka Ugbade.

He talks about their triumph over the Senegalese, and how they hope to make improvements ahead of subsequent games. He also talks about what the win means to his team and much more. Enjoy.

Sl10: Congratulations on the win over Senegal. Can you share with us, your thoughts on the game?

Ugbade: I thought it was a good game because we won, which was very important. We needed to get that win because it was our first game and we needed something for the confidence. So I would say it was good.

Sl10: Would you describe it as a perfect game?

Ugbade: No, not perfect. Like I said, it was a good game but we know it wasn’t perfect as we made some unnecessary mistakes which could have been very fatal on another day, so it was far from perfect but it was good. We also need to understand that it was our first game and some of the players were playing in a competition for Nigeria for the first time, so it could also have played on their minds. We will work toward getting better in subsequent games.

Sl10: From a tactical point of view, what areas would you say you made the most mistakes and why?

Ugbade: We gave the ball away too cheaply sometimes, and it allowed the Senegalese get some advantage, which I thought shouldn’t have happened. I thought we were a bit slow in getting the ball out of the defense at times, and we became predictable as a result, which also put some pressure on our goalkeeper. The passes from the defense forward weren’t the best and it slowed our game and affected our shape a bit. As a unit, I thought the defense did well but we have to improve and ensure we get better at moving the ball from the back on the ground, while still retaining possession. The reason we made such mistakes, like I said, could be down to the fact that it was our first game and maybe some of them were a bit jittery.

Sl10: What sort of game plan should we be expecting in the second game?

Ugbade: I can’t share that information but what I can tell you is that we will make improvements. The shape of the team will be better and our passes will be more accurate. We have to take it one step at a time.

Sl10: Congo and Cote d’ Ivoire played out a draw, which means Nigeria has the advantage and a win in the next game, Nigeria are through to the World Cup in New Zealand. Is this an advantage or pressure?

Ugbade: We try as much as possible not to play under pressure, so I would like to see it more as an advantage. I like to see the cup as half full, rather than being half empty. I believe we will make progress and we shall be at the World Cup.

Sl10: Thank you very much, coach

Ugbade: Thank you very much my friend.

CAF Names Awoniyi Man Of the Match

The Confederation of Africa Football (CAF) has officially named Flying Eagles striker Taiwo Awoniyi as man of the match in Nigeria 3-1 win over Senegal, at the Africa Youth Championship.

The deputy captain of the Nigeria team picked up the award sponsored by Orange after scoring a quickfire first half brace to set his team on the way to a 3-1 win over host Senegal.

Aside his goals overall he was a menace to the backline of the Senegalese side, beating the offside trap with clever runs and bringing his teammates into play with nice hold up play.

The 17 year old expected to put pen to paper on a three year deal when he turns 18 for Swedish side Kalmar, edged his teammate Ifeanyi Matthew to the award of man of the match.

Awoniyi will be expected to produce more of the same when Nigeria takes on Congo in their second game on the 11th of March.

Nigeria has won the Africa Youth Championship title six times in the past and is presently the favorite for this year event.

SL10 Player Ratings: Flying Eagles vs Senegal

After the Flying Eagles mind blowing start to their campaign yesterday at the Africa Youth Championship Nigeria foremost football portal SL10.ng who has been monitoring the team preparations and progress to the tournament takes a look at the players and how they fare in the 3-1 win over host Senegal .

A brace for Taiwo Awoniyi makes him the standout performer but we will take a look at how other players fare in the morale boosting victory for Nigeria.

JOSHUA ENAHOLO (GK)……..A very impressive display from the MFM man, twice saved his team on one on one situation which includes a potential save of the tournament off a header, quick off his line and displayed firm grip of the ball on the strength of his display easy to see why he was preferred ahead of Dele Alampasu in goal…8/10

MUSA MOHAMMED……..Captain of the side was his usual overlapping self but quality of his ball across which usually use to be his strong point was missing today and defensively caught out on more than two occasion can obviously do more…6/10

MUSTAPHA ABDULLAHI…….. Lively and strong in attack, a useful outlet in attack thanks to his overlapping runs, twice bailed out his central defenders with strong tackles on the cover but like his right full back compatriot his delivery was a letdown…6.5/10

IZU OMEGO……..Easily the worst player on the pitch for the Flying Eagles appears he was playing with nerves, exposed his central defence partner on numerous occasion, was busy protesting a dive when Senegal pounced on a half cleared ball to score their only goal, Senegalese had joy threading through balls via his position unless he improves on his showing might be drop from subsequent games…4/10

ZAHRADEEN BELLO……..Calm and strong in tackles but guilty of indecision especially in dealing with through balls, more assured than his partner in central defence but his positioning for Senegal’s only goal of the game raises questions about his reading of the game…5/10

AKINJIDE IDOWU……..Won more balls and tackles than any other player on show for Nigeria but failed to screen his central defence properly which was breached severally by the Senegalese guilty of wandering far away from the defence line where his contribution would have steadied a shaky defence…6/10

IFEANYI MATTHEW……..Arguably the best player on the pitch for Nigeria, two delightful balls over the defence of Senegal set up Taiwo Awoniyi for his brace and got the goal his performance deserves, was buzzing all round breaking the rhythm of the opposition and spraying passes all round for his teammates, boss the game and need I say took his goal so nicely, no backlift strike sweetly struck on his weaker foot…9/10

IFEANYI IFEANYI……..Unlike his colleague and namesake in the middle for the Flying Eagles, he was subdued but still put in a good shift moving the ball quickly to his teammates a bit slack in marking and failed to provide necessary cover for full backs when they overlapped…6/10

CHIDERA EZEH........Failed to show any of the abilities that made him a hit for the team during qualifiers, drifted out of the game totally bar some few nice touches, no surprise he was first to make way when the coaches decided to reshuffle the team, was also guilty of not providing cover for Musa Mohammed when he bombs forward …5/10

BERNARD BUBLWA……..Petit forward who has an eye for goals as well but on this occasion did more marking than pose a threat to the opposition goal, an industrious performance nevertheless, tired as the game progressed got replaced by Wasiu Jimoh as Manu Garba tried to bring more pace and fresh idea to his team…6.5/10

TAIWO AWONIYI……..A contender for man of the match, timed his runs to perfection for the both goals he scored, profited from some slack goalkepping in scoring his brace but deserves credits and plaudits for his overall display, holding up the ball nicely and bringing his teammates into play on one particular occasion a nice ball to Ifeanyi Matthew could have sealed a perfect team goal…8.5/10

SUBSTITUTES…

ALHASSAN IBRAHIM…….. Subbed on and subbed off later with what appears to be a reoccurrence of the injury that ended his trial with Rijeka in Croatia, only major contribution was teeing up Awoniyi with a clever ball which the lanky striker should have buried…3/10

OBINNA NWOBODO……..Brought in to help Nigeria keep possession and stuck to his task, kept it simple and played with confidence but wasted a good chance to free Musa Abdullahi as his weak pass was easily intercepted…4.5/10

WASIU JIMOH…….. Lively when he came on showed good energy and was ready to get stuck in tackles could have done more though choosing to shoot when a pass could have been better…5/10

Awoniyi Puts Team First

Flying Eagles striker and two goal hero in Nigeria’s 3-1 win over Senegal in the opening fixture of the 2015 Africa Youth Championship, Taiwo Awoniyi has said personal glory will have to take a back seat for the country to triumph at the tournament, despite earlier saying he would love to finish as the tournament’s top goalscorer.

The 17-year old striker scored two quick goals as Nigeria brushed aside hosts Senegal 3-1 to open their AYC campaign on an assuring note, putting them in a good position to progress to the semifinals and a place at the FIFA U20 World Cup in New Zealand.

“Top scorer of the tournament? No, we are a team and we are here to win for Nigeria,” he was quoted on the official website of the Nigeria Football Federation.

“We give glory to God and we will keep working hard to achieve our targets.”

Meanwhile, Flying Eagles stars Ifeanyi Matthew and goalkeeper Dele Alampasu were two of the players tested for drugs after Sunday’s match.

The Senegalese players tested were goalkeeper Seydou Sy and Sidy Sarr, who scored his team’s goal against Nigeria.

The Flying Eagles will next play the Congolese U20 team and a win in that game will guarantee Nigeria’s qualification to the FIFA U20 World Cup, and also a place in the semis.

Kalmar Admit Taiwo Awoniyi May Join Another Club

Kalmar FF have admitted that the club could lose Nigeria youth international Taiwo Awoniyi even before he signs a contract in August.

A lot of European teams are believed to have sent their scouts to Senegal to run the rule over the 17 - year - old, and in practice he could shred the preliminary agreement he has with Kalmar.

“That you never know. You can not go around being worried, but somewhere I just had to enjoy the guy that he is making progress and that it goes in the right direction.

“And it is also a sign that we are a little right there when we look at the players so it’s only positive that Taiwo is doing well,” sporting director of Kalmar, Thomas Andersson Borstam, told fotbollskanalen.se.

Bosstam added : “Then he has been in Kalmar now three or four times and become acquainted with us and feel comfortable with us and we are happy with him.

“ So I think it may be a good step to begin in Sweden, first developed before taking the next step.”

Taiwo Awoniyi scored twice in the Flying Eagles 3 - 1 win over Senegal on Sunday, and was officially chosen as the Man of the Match.

Muazam has a nagging injury concern.
