Damian's lips curved up into a smirk and I
suddenly noticed my brother was actually
attractive...and he damn well knew it. His
eyes sparkled and he pulled her tiny body
into him.
"Pleasure to meet you," he flashed his pearl
white teeth at her and Ellie swallowed
looking mesmerised.
Zane let out a growl and grabbed Ellie then
yanked her quickly behind him.
"Back off my cousin Matthews," Zane
warned.
Damian glowered at him and I sensed an
impending fight so I cleared my throat.
Three pairs of eyes fell on me and suddenly
Damian's expression turned smug and he
dragged me into his side.
"Stay away from my sister Thomas," Damian
retorted calmly.
Zane looked torn, torn between wanting to
keep his cousin away from the rival Alpha
and evidently wanting me. A loud exhale
escaped his lips and his strong jaw
clenched tightly.
"May want to think it over Thomas...don't
want to make the wrong decision," Damian
taunted.
Damian turned to face me, his eyes pleading
with me to listen to him for once.
"Let's go home Alexis," he said, his voice
determined for the sake of Zane.
I could easily say no...but if I said no then
Zane would keep Ellie away from Damian as
my brother would have no hold over Zane.
As much as we hadn't gotten along at the
start, I didn't want him to be tormented
like that. Damian deserved his mate and if I
could help him get her then I would. Even if
it meant standing against my own. I nodded,
seeing a relieved smile spread across
Damian's face before he turned it smug and
wrapped a strong, muscular arm around my
slender shoulders.
"See you later Thomas," Damian said with a
barely concealed smirk.
His eyes fell on Ellie and I saw them cloud
over in desire for a moment before he shot
her a wink and a dirty smirk. I had to fight
the snort that wanted to escape when I saw
her cheeks darken, Damian just smirked
arrogantly.
"See you later Alex," Ellie said softly.
"See you later Ellie," I replied.
Damian walked me out the room then guided
me down the rickety stairs and out of the
house. I didn't look back at Ellie's house as
Damian and I crossed the road, I guess I
didn't want to see the broody blond male
that would surely be stood looking out the
window with a scowl plastered across his
handsome face. Relief hit me when I
entered the cover of the woods, I could
feel Zane's cold eyes burning into my back
and it made me feel guilty for walking out on
him. My brother and I walked through the
forest in silence, both of us lost in our own
thoughts. Damian was the first to break it.
"Thanks for taking my side Alexis."
He sounded genuinely grateful and I smiled
as I ducked under a low branch.
"It seemed like you and Ellie had something.
We may not always get on Damian but you
are my brother and I will look out for you,"
I said quietly.
Glancing at him, I found he was smiling
affectionately down at me, like an older
brother would look at his younger sister...it
made me feel loved. Not another word was
spoken but he slung his arm round my
shoulders again and pulled me gently into his
side. The little brotherly action choked me
up. The guilt over my deception was
nonexistent at the start but slowly it felt
like more and more was being added by my
brothers actions, making my secret grow
heavy over me under the weight of their
adoration and care.
"Damian I lied to you," I said awkwardly, not
able to stop it bubbling up and spilling out.

Damian tugged me to a stop and stood in
front of me with a curious expression, one
eyebrow quirked. I blinked and like that the
purple slid back into my eyes making him
raise both eyebrows.
"I'm not human," I admitted.
Damian stared at me in shock then like the
shock dropped away like it was a mask and
he smirked.
"Come on Lex, I'm not stupid...I knew from
the beginning. Even though you tried to do
some crazy genie voodoo on me. It's the
rest of our brothers who are ignorant
morons. I didn't get to be Alpha without
being highly trained," he informed me.
My eyes bulged and he laughed.
"You're not pissed?" I checked.
He threw me an easy going grin, flashing his
pearl white teeth.
"I'm not a bad guy Lex," he said humorously
before turning serious, "I knew you
wouldn't be friendly with us from the
beginning, you didn't know us and you
thought we were all bad guys. Of course
you'd keep it to yourself."
"Should I tell the rest of the guys?" I
asked.
Damian smirked and then winked at me.
"No...I've been waiting for you to crack and
tell me and was hoping you was going to do
it when it was just us two. This way we can
have a little fun...maybe scare the guys a
little," he said mischievously.
I laughed in disbelief...I liked this side of
Damian...nice to see where I got my attitude
from. He began to walk away from me and I
stood there in surprise at how that went
down.
"Hey...and don't think I've forgotten about
when you made the lights explode over me
and scared the crap out of me!"
I threw my head back and laughed.

ZANE POV
Ella-Marie wouldn't even meet my eyes, it
stung a little.
"Come on, you can't blame me for getting
worked up over it," I said, my tone slightly
angry.
The clenching of her jaw was the only sign
she heard me.
"It was a shock okay?" I confessed softly.
Taking a seat on the edge of my desk, I
stared at my hands and sighed.
"It's not every day your little cousin...who's
more of a sister...turns to you and says she
doesn't want anything to do with the pack.
That she wants to go to art school...that
she's not even a werewolf," I rubbed my
eyes tiredly and stood up to begin pacing
again.
My brain was working over time and I felt
edgy and tired.
"You belong here...how could you run away?"
I said.
"I don't belong in the pack when I can't
even shift!" she replied loudly, sitting up to
glare at me.
"Ells you belong with us! Who cares that you
can't shift! It doesn't matter!" I shouted
back.
"It matters to me Zane! I'm a freak," she
slumped back in her chair in defeat and I
glowered at her.
"So you ran away?!"
She huffed and got up then stormed out my
office. I gave chase. Swinging the door
open roughly, she stomped across the
porch but, being an Alpha werewolf, I was
quicker than her. My hand closed around
her slim arm and I yanked her back into me.
"Not so fast Ella-Marie...we're not done
here," I growled.
"Yes we are," she snapped.
"We're far from done," I muttered before
throwing her over my broad shoulder and
striding back up to the house.

"Put me down asshole," Ella-Marie shrieked.
"Hmm...and let you run again? How about no!"
I retorted coldly.
Well maybe this got out of hand but she's
stubborn with a fiery temper and so am
I...this won't end without tears, whose tears
though I can't be certain of.

CHAPTER EIGHTEEN
I chewed my gum and eyed the track warily.
"You want me to run round that?" I asked in
disbelief, "five times?"
"You need to build yourself up. You're a
werecat, you need to train yourself to be
strong and fast," Damian informed me,
"rogues are out there and with your
brother being an Alpha of a powerful pack
and your mate Alpha of another powerful
pack you'll be targeted more than most. You
need to be able to protect yourself."
I threw my head back and groaned.

I groaned and clutched my stomach tiredly.
"You are the most unfit werecat I have ever
met!" Damian exclaimed.
"How many werecats have you met?" I
wheezed.
"Twenty seven! And five were between
eleven and sixteen!" Damian replied.
I just moaned and tried to catch my breath.
"Damian!" I whined.
He snorted and held out his hand to help me
up. Once I was up, Damian threw me over
his shoulder and walked back towards the
house. I was too tired to even protest.
"Where have you two been?" Darren asked.
"I've been training Alexis," Damian replied
simply, sitting me on a stool in front of the
marble island.
"Training?" Douglas paused with his spoon
halfway to his mouth and quirked an
eyebrow.
"There's a lot of bad guys out there...and I
want our sister to be able to protect
herself. Nothing wrong with learning self
defence and getting fit," Damian explained
casually.
Damian set down a glass of apple juice in
front of me and I gratefully drank it,
muttering a tired thank you. Once I'd
finished, I dragged my weary body upstairs
to shower.

I dressed casually in a black maxi dress
that came down to my mid-shin and I put a
white belt round the middle then slid black
sandals onto my feet. Dragging my hair into
a tight ponytail, I glanced around my messy
room and wrinkled my nose. I need to clean
up. Like seriously clean up. Shaking my head,
I exited my room and carefully shut my
door behind me. I channelled a quick bolt of
genie magic into it and smiled in satisfaction
when my door wouldn't budge afterwards.
That'll keep those nosy wolves out my room.
"ALEXIS!" Douglas screamed.
"DOUGLAS!" I screamed back.
I whirled to find him stood beside the
bathroom door in baggy basketball shorts
and a white shirt.
"YOU GOOD?"
"GOOD, GOOD?"
"GOOD."
"LATER!"
"LATER!"
He walked into the bathroom and I briefly
pondered what just happened before giving
up.
'Let it go Alexis,' I thought.
Heading downstairs I was surprised to see
Zane and one of his crew stood there
looking bemused.
"Zane," I said with a jerk of my head.
"Alexis," he replied with a smirk.
"Sup," I nodded at Zane's friend.
He gave me a small nod, looking amused by
my actions.
"Alexis, my Beta Gage. Gage, Alexis," Zane
introduced.
"Gage!" I said loudly.

Alexis!" he said loudly.
"You'll fit in well," I decided before walking
towards the kitchen.
"Nice to see I have your girlfriend's
approval," Gage muttered.
I froze and spun round.
"Girlfriend?" I pointed at Zane warningly
and narrowed my eyes.
"Yes, you ARE my mate Alexis," Zane
confirmed with a dirty smirk.
"You never even asked me," I put my hands
on my hips and gave him my best sassy look.
"Would you have said yes?"
My look faltered.
"Well no...but I never said yes anyway
therefore I'm not your girlfriend," I
retorted.
Zane shook his head at me. I was doing well
at containing the mind-blowing arousal I had
for him due to the mating bond thing. If I
didn't have so much control I might have
jumped him by now. Seriously, the way his
muscles flexed as he crossed his arms and
his sinfully sexy lips curled into a dirty
smirk. I abruptly turned and walked away
before I did something I'd regret.
"Hey," I greeted the female leant on the
kitchen counter.
"Hey stranger," Lea replied with an easy
going grin.
"So..." I inhaled and smirked.
Lea's cheeks flushed and she cleared her
throat.
I snickered and opened the fridge, scanning
it for something to eat.
"Completed the mating last night," Lea
mumbled.
"That was you? I thought a cat was being
mauled by a bear," I said indifferently.
Lea looked highly embarrassed when I
glanced at her over my shoulder and I
chuckled.
"Kidding, I didn't hear a thing. Didn't even
realise you were here doing the nasty," I
soothed her.
Lea sighed in relief and I snorted in
bemusement.
"So...? How did-"
"No! No, no, no, no! We're not discussing
it!" Lea cried out.
"I was just going to ask how he got you into
bed. I don't want to know details!" I said in
disbelief as I opened the orange juice
carton.
I pulled a disturbed face and Lea blushed
again.
"Well we were watching this romantic film
and...Darren had lit some candles. We were
just kissing and then...you know..." Lea
explained.
I nodded and took a swig of the orange
juice. Darren walked in at that moment
wearing a purple shirt and black basketball
shorts. A smirk was plastered to his face.
"Well someone looks like the cat who got
the cream," I said in a fake southern drawl.
"More like the wolf who got laid," Kieran
tossed into the conversation as he walked in
after Darren.
It seemed like the males in this house liked
basketball shorts as Kieran was wearing a
white pair with his red shirt. That's three
so far out of the three inhabitants of the
house I've seen.
I laughed at Kieran's comment and Lea
flushed a dark red. Darren just grinned
wolfishly and dragged her in by her hips to
plant a kiss on her lips. Kieran and I fake
gagged. I put the orange juice back in the
fridge and shut it with my hip. Bored of
seeing the love birds make out, I left the
kitchen and headed outside to the porch at
the front of the house. I hadn't been out
there long when Zane and Gage left the
house. Zane wordlessly nodded at Gage and
Gage walked off into the forest.

"Yes?" I inquired, tilting my head to the
side.
He evidently wished to speak with me.
"It's not over Alexis," Zane warned and I
frowned at him, "Ella-Marie isn't going
anywhere near your brother."
"Then I'm not going anywhere near you," I
replied evenly.
Zane's eyebrows furrowed.
"Why are you sticking up for him?" Zane
demanded.
"He's my brother! Why are you so against
him? So he's the Alpha of the other pack!
He'll love Ellie. Can't you see you're hurting
her by separating them? My brother won't
stop until he gets her...and you won't get
me," I said angrily.
Zane growled at me but I used my thumb
and finger to grip his cheeks and shake his
head.
"Don't you growl at me Mister," I said with
narrowed eyes.
Zane's eyes twinkled and he grinned at me.
Slowly he pulled my hand off his face and
shook his head in amusement. In a quick
movement, before I could pull back, he leant
in and kissed me. Holding my face still, Zane
placed chaste kisses around my face for a
few seconds before gently biting my nose.
"You'll be mine," he promised.
Zane disappeared off the porch and into
the woods then, leaving me stood there
stunned.

I felt a burn creeping into my stomach and I
dropped the paintbrush, clutching my
abdomen in pain. I hissed out a breath
through my teeth and bent double.
"Oh no, oh nooo, ah," I murmured.
Clenching my jaw, I groaned and my
eyebrows furrowed.
"Why is this happening?"
I fell to my knees and sucked in a deep
breath.
"Welcome to heat," Lea spoke up.
I glanced at her over my shoulder to find
her leaning on my doorframe with a smug
expression.
Heat.
Dear God, no.

CHAPTER NINETEEN

I stretched out in my bed and moaned. I
was so...hot. My toes curled and I fought
the urge to go find Zane. Grabbing my
stomach, I whimpered quietly at the burn.
There was a knock at the door and Lea
peeked inside my bedroom.
"Go find Zane, Alexis," Lea urged softly.
"Hell naw," I said in a southern accent.
Lea chuckled and stepped into the room,
gently shutting the door behind her.
"What if anyone but Damian and I enter?
How you going to explain heat to them
without giving away what you are?" Lea said
sensibly.
"I'm not mating him!" I argued.
"You don't have to. Heat is permanently
removed by mating. Heat is temporarily
removed by acts that bring about a...you
know...in one of the couple-"
"So...oral? On either of us? That
temporarily removes it?" I said in disbelief.
Lea nodded with an amused smile plastered
on her pretty face.
"Kissing removes it for the length of the
kissing and five minutes afterwards if the
kiss lasts longer than a minute," Lea added.
"I could probably get behind kissing...at a
PUSH," I decided reluctantly.
The heat was unbearable so I could
momentarily put aside my reluctance of
being with Zane.
"Being in his arms makes it into a dull ache,
just a little discomfort in the abdomen."
I nodded, that one was definitely in my
interest.
"Being near him dulls it to average
discomfort. Being apart from him makes it
virtually unbearable," Lea finished.
"Does he feel this stage?" I inquired
curiously.
"He doesn't feel it to your extent, but he'll
be in a constant state of arousal. Your scent
will become really addictive and he'll get
extremely possessive of you as other males
who aren't related will get aroused by your
heat scent. He'll see red if a male even
looks at you, natural reaction. Your brother
punched my history teacher for telling me I
smelled nice," Lea explained sounding
utterly bemused.
My eyes widened and I couldn't help the
laugh that escaped my dry lips. That was
pretty funny. I'd love to see Zane so
angry...and at the same time it would take
away the insufferable heat.
"Just think about it," Lea said with a small
smile.
That said, she left the room and I muttered
a few curse words as I rolled off my bed. A
light layer of sweat coated my body and I
peeled off the baggy top to replace it with
a neon blue vest top. With a sigh, I managed
to wrestle the leggings off to replace them
with grey track suit bottoms. I sat down
with a drawn out hiss and slid some trainers
onto my feet.
"Lo que es la vida," I muttered darkly.
[What is life]
Taking a deep breath, I shuffled out the
room and slowly headed down the stairs. My
body protested to the movement, pain and
aching springing up all over. It was like
being on my period but much, MUCH worse.
Swallowing, trying to take away the ache of
my dry throat, I moved slowly out the front
door.
"You won't get anywhere like that, let me
drive you," Lea offered.
I nodded submissively and followed Lea to
her bright pink bug. She opened the door
for me and I slipped inside with a grateful
smile thrown towards her. Lea shut the
door and I watched her walk round the car
with a happy smile. After mating with
Darren she seemed to be on cloud nine
constantly. She climbed into the driver seat
gracefully and started up the engine. The
vibrations of the car slightly soothed the
pain and I slumped against the car seat. The
ride was silent, beside the low sound of the
music. The car pulled up to Zane's house
and I saw he was shirtless, playing
basketball with a few of his pack members.
How cliche.

"Thank you Lea," I murmured.
"It's cool," Lea said with a knowing grin.
I rolled my eyes and eased myself out of
the car.
"Zane," I growled out.
Zane froze, his hands poised to throw the
basketball into the net and the muscles in
his back rippled. With a quick move, Zane
tossed the basketball and got it perfectly
into the net. Slowly, he turned to face me
and arched a perfect blond eyebrow.
"Time to mate? Mate," he said smoothly.
"Over my dead body," I said snappily.
Zane smirked and stalked over to me, his
movements graceful and similar to a
predator.
"Well there'll come a day when you'll be
begging on your knees," Zane taunted me,
"until then...I'll take care of your heat in
another me shall I? I'm sure you'll taste
divine."
I bristled, my face twisting into a scowl.
"I meant your lips, sweet cheeks," Zane said
with a laugh.
He leant down and captured my lips with his
own, a burning sensation spread through me
but it was different to the burn of heat.
This burn was pleasant and delicious. It
took over the other burn leaving the pain
and discomfort behind. I bit his lip to make
him open his mouth then I set about
exploring with my tongue. His strong mint
and spicy taste took over my senses and
seemed to set my body alight. I pulled back.
"Get me a drink, monkey," I ordered but my
voice had a slightly teasing edge to it.
Zane glowered at me but wrapped a strong
arm around my waist and lifted me up
against his chest. He walked into the house
with me and down the hallways. I noticed a
curly haired female bite her lip lustfully as
she checked Zane out when we walked past.
I bared my teeth at her and she flinched
into the wall. I honestly don't know why I
did that. Zane sat me down on the marble
counter top in the kitchen and set to getting
me a glass of what looked to be apple juice.
"Here," he handed me the glass and I drank
it gratefully.
"Thank you," I said.
"I saw that," he stated.
I frowned, pausing with the glass halfway
to my mouth.
"Que?" I asked.
"You baring your teeth at that girl," he said
with an arrogant smirk stretching at his
lips.
I wrinkled my nose and drank the rest of
the apple juice.
"I don't recall doing anything of the sort," I
said simply.
Zane winked and leant in to give me a chaste
kiss on the lips.
"I'm going to enjoy this heat. Having you
living with me for the week or so that it
lasts and being able to kiss you without you
complaining or pulling away. Mm, I'm going
to very much enjoy this," Zane said smugly.

"Live here?" I quirked a dark eyebrow at
him and he smirked.
"Of course, it's only logical," Zane said
calmly.
"No-"
"As soon as you get a few steps away from
me you're crippled by pain and arousal,"
Zane said smugly.
"Bull-crap," I swore.
I pushed myself off the counter and strode
out the kitchen door angrily. I made it
halfway down the hallway. Pain hit me hard
in the gut and I groaned as I doubled over.
Immediately it dulled and I looked up to see
Zane beside me with an expressionless
face. Even though his features held no
emotion, his eyes shone with pain and
worry.
"Don't do that again," he said gruffly,
putting his hand on my back.
I just grunted in response and stood up
straight, breathing in and out deeply.
"I have some paperwork to do. Coming?"
Zane said emotionlessly.
I glanced up, what was wrong with him? He
never acted this way around me. Zane began
walking and I quickly moved so I was
walking beside him. I'm not dealing with
that pain again. I slid my hand into his, my
cheeks burning out of embarrassment at
the action. Not a flicker of emotion passed
his face but his hand closed tightly around
mine.

I was impressed. I'd been in here before
but I hadn't really been paying that much
attention. Zane's office was amazing, better
than Father/Damian's office.
Zane was working silently, seemingly
completely absorbed in whatever was on the
scattered sheets on his mahogany desk. I
was entertaining myself by going through
the many cupboards and drawers in here
then inspecting the contents. There was a
knock on the door and I looked up, my
hands freezing where they were rummaging
through a drawer. Zane got up gracefully
and strode confidently to the door. Damn,
even his walk was sexy. He opened the door
and quirked an eyebrow at whoever was out
there. I tilted my body backwards slightly
and my dark eyebrows furrowed when I
saw a female. Jealousy sprung up inside me
but I forced it down. Don't go acting all
crazy she-kitty on people Alex, I warned
myself.
"Yes Linnie?" Zane inquired.
"I heard a special lady is here," Linnie said
smugly.
Zane scowled and I stared at him in
amusement.
"Yes, what of it?" Zane muttered, his eyes
flicking over to where I was twirling a
bejewelled pen round my slender fingers.
"The pack want to meet their future Luna
Zane, they're getting antsy," Linnie
explained calmly.
I spluttered on...well air. Future Luna?! I
would make a terrible Luna! I can't lead
people...or make rational plans...come on, I
came here for revenge and now I'm best
friends with my oldest brother and standing
in the rival Alpha's office in HEAT?!
"She's in here?!" Linnie exclaimed.
She barged past Zane roughly with a
bemused Ellie on her heels. Ah, I see
everyone is friends. Ellie shot Zane a glare
as she passed him and Zane glowered back.
Maybe not then.
"Hi, I'm Linda but everyone calls me Linnie,"
Linnie introduced herself with a bright
smile, "I'm Zane's cousin."
"Alexis Matthews," I said coyly.
"Matthews?!" Linnie spun to look at Zane in
open-mouthed shock.

CHAPTER TWENTY

I slapped hands with Ellie and snickered.

"How's...uh..."

"Damian? Good."

"How did-"

"Ellie I know you two are mates. I'm

supposed to be helping Damian get you back

from Zane."

Our conversation was hushed while Linnie

chattered loudly to Zane about the many,

MANY problems with us being mates. I

rolled my eyes.

"Out," Zane pointed at the door and

narrowed his eyes.

Ellie immediately walked out without looking

at him. Linnie opened her mouth but he

growled deeply at her so she stomped off

after Ellie. Zane shoved the door and it

slammed closed loudly. I smirked at him and

leant casually against the cabinet behind me,

bending one leg to place my foot against it.

"Well, maybe you should listen to your

cousin Zane. There are a lot of issues with

us," I said snidely.

Zane seemed to glide over to me and

slammed his hands down on the cabinet on

either side of me. I jumped slightly but

kept my face relatively calm.

"Yeah but I cannot find the will power to

stay away from you because you're so

addictive Alexis. You're rarely nice to me

but it's worth being around all the meanness

to get to the little bits of nice," he said

darkly.

I stared at him in surprise. Well don't I

feel like a bi-

"Don't," Zane ordered.

"Don't what?" I replied with an arched

eyebrow.

"I can tell you were about to insult yourself

in your head," he elaborated.

"Psht, why would I insult myself? I'm

awesome," I brushed him off as I ducked

under his muscular arm and sauntered over

to his desk.

The dull ache of heat had taken permanent

residence in my stomach but at least it was

better than the agonising pain of last night

and earlier today.

"I guess you are," Zane conceded, "but then

I'm awesome for having an awesome mate."

I wrinkled my nose and juggled his

paperweight and stapler. The door suddenly

slammed open so hard I thought it'd come

off it's hinges. I spun in surprise, seems

like a regular occurrence for me to be

surprised nowadays, and dropped the

paperweight and stapler. Luckily both

missed my now bare feet.

"I'm here for my sister," Damian said

angrily.

Ah, I forgot I was supposed to stick with

him and avoid Zane.

"She's in heat, would you really be so

selfish?" Zane snarled viciously.

"Selfish? I understand that you're her

mate so you two are an item now. Fate

intended it and I can't get in the way,"

Damian said furiously.

"Wait we're a thing?" I gestured between

Zane and myself but was ignored.

"It's you who won't accept that Ella is MY

mate and you have no right to stand in the

way!" Damian's voice rose and I pursed my

lips.

"I can see some serious stuff is about to go

down. So I'll be outside," I said before

leaving the room and shutting the for

behind me. I leant on the door, not wanting

to go too far away and risk the wrath of

heat again.

I'm so sorry I couldn't keep to my promise of updating yesterday...Here's the update.I do hope you'll like it.

DAMIAN'S POV

I glared at the arrogant prick across from
me and he had the nerve to glare back.
"She's my cousin-"
"Well Alexis is my sister! I don't like
what's happened either but I can't get
between you two without hurting Alexis can
I? You'll treat her right, I trust you to.
You're a lot of things Zane but I know
you're a decent guy when it comes to the
whole mate issue," I said, trying to remain
calm.

Zane sat down heavily in his chair and
rubbed his eyes tiredly.
"I would never willingly hurt Alexis," he
mumbled truthfully.
"And I would never willingly hurt Ella. Zane,
just as I can't stop you and Alexis without
hurting Alex, you can't stop me and Ella-
Marie without hurting Ella. I trust you to do
right by Alex, trust me to do right by Ella,"
I said, my tone half demanding half
pleading.
Zane sighed and put his head in his hands.
"You won't lose her. You'll still see her," I
tried to persuade him.
I didn't want to take Alexis away, not while
she was in heat, but I knew if he didn't give
in Alexis would be stubborn and follow me.
Zane knew that too. I wouldn't order her
to, but she would.
"You hurt her Matthews!" Zane said
warningly when he raised his head.
"Never," I said vehemently, "if you hurt
HER!" I pointed at the door.
"Never," Zane replied in the same tone.
I stared him down for a minute then
smirked.
"My sister's bag is outside your office, it
has all the things she'll need to stay here
for the duration of her heat," I said evenly
and Zane's lips curled upwards, "I'll be
taking Ella for that time. If Alexis wishes to
stay on at yours, then I can let that slide. If
Ella wishes to stay at mine?"
"I guess I'll let that slide," Zane said
begrudging.
I nodded and left the room. Alexis looked
up and raised an eyebrow.
"She's mine," I kissed my sister's
forehead and winked at her before backing
off.
Alexis grinned at me. It didn't take me long
to find Ella-Marie, she was outside with a
group of girls looking unimpressed at their
conversation. I strode outside and all their
heads snapped over to me, shock crossing
their faces. Desire filled a few of their
eyes but I could only focus on Ella-Marie
looking stunning in a white summer dress.
"Damian?" Ella gasped.
I gave her my signature lazy smirk and
watched smugly as she bit her plump lip. I
sauntered over and picked her up gently
then threw her over my broad shoulder.
"Ladies," I nodded at the surprised females
then walked confidently back inside.
"Damian!" Ella yelped.
"Your arrogant cousin has agreed that I can
keep you for the duration of Alexis's
heat...and afterwards if you wish," I said
smugly, "now let's go pack."
"Who said I'm even going with you?" Ella
retorted.
I snorted and tapped her round ass.
"Hey!" she shrieked.
"Of course you're coming with me,
sweetheart."
