you are mistaking most prefered to most bankable.
if the topic was about most bankable courses, the list and rankings will have been totally different with medicine and law at the top

I see that too.

And that will actually come to pass in the year 7997.

When we'll have 3 doctors to 1 patient.

That's very true. Over 12000 applicants chose Accounting in UNILORIN alone. In FUNAAB too; it's the most preferred course.

Accounting is commercials' medicine grin cheesy

Chemical Engineering isn't competitive more than the one listed by OP. undecided
In Nigeria, yes. But in the U.S. it's one of the most creative and competitive courses. Do you know that chemical engineers are in the fore-front of research in the possibly next revolution of technology--NANOTECHNOLOGY?
Chemical engineering is an outstanding course, the only problem is that we don't carry out intensive research in most of our Nigerian universities.

It's followed by Business Administration (with over 12000 applicants too [Eco is @ most 6000 in UNILORIN] ). In UNILAG self, Accounting & Business Administration cut-off point is more than that of Economics. You can download Jamb stat for UNN, FUNAAB, UNILORIN & UNILAG to ascertain the fact....

As regards MBBS in UNILORIN, it's the MOST competitive with over 15000 applicants.
