Waleskyzo1: sooner than later. Mechatronics and systems Engineering will be d most sought after.you are mistaking most prefered to most bankable. if the topic was about most bankable courses, the list and rankings will have been totally different with medicine and law at the top |
Re: Most Preferred Courses In Nigerian Universities by Karleb(m): 7:21am On Jul 06, 2014 |
Waleskyzo1: sooner than later. Mechatronics and systems Engineering will be d most sought after. I see that too. And that will actually come to pass in the year 7997. When we'll have 3 doctors to 1 patient. |

In most secondary schools, the ratio of science students to account and art students is roughly 50:50. So why do we have account and art courses leading in your list? . |
Re: Most Preferred Courses In Nigerian Universities by Nobody: 8:07am On Jul 06, 2014 |
Karleb: Science student have more bankable course to settle with more than Art/commercial. That's why!! |

FrancisTony: That's very true. Over 12000 applicants chose Accounting in UNILORIN alone. In FUNAAB too; it's the most preferred course. Accounting is commercials' medicine |
Re: Most Preferred Courses In Nigerian Universities by Nobody: 8:53am On Jul 06, 2014 |
rkarang: LOL! What of Economics? 12,000? That's even more than UI Medicine/Surgery aspirant. Might even be more than Unilorin own too. 1 Like |

FrancisTony:In Nigeria, yes. But in the U.S. it's one of the most creative and competitive courses. Do you know that chemical engineers are in the fore-front of research in the possibly next revolution of technology--NANOTECHNOLOGY? Chemical engineering is an outstanding course, the only problem is that we don't carry out intensive research in most of our Nigerian universities. |
Re: Most Preferred Courses In Nigerian Universities by rkarang: 9:05am On Jul 06, 2014 |
FrancisTony: It's followed by Business Administration (with over 12000 applicants too [Eco is @ most 6000 in UNILORIN] ). In UNILAG self, Accounting & Business Administration cut-off point is more than that of Economics. You can download Jamb stat for UNN, FUNAAB, UNILORIN & UNILAG to ascertain the fact.... As regards MBBS in UNILORIN, it's the MOST competitive with over 15000 applicants. |
