Navigate to Ur device manager in the control panel, click on the mouse logo, if their is nothing like "touchpad" then U will probably need to re-install that driver, also if U see anything like "P/PS2 mouse" uninstall it, download d latest touchpad driver FOR YOUR Laptop n install.
Same thing happened to me last night. Fixed now doe.
As for the noise, You are going to have to listen and count the beeps to make sense out of the message the BIOS is giving You
