Thanks dear. I do that too but it does not guarantee the splashing.
You can't stop the splash especially when frying the head. Try deep frying.

Thanx for making me laugh ds morning o,I'm surprised u said just hand gloves, was thinking u'll suggest an iron overall or something, considering d fact dt the oil will still spill to ur arms and not just ur hand alone.

okirewaju: What I do most times is to cover the pot or frying pan with a lid then I open to peep after giving the fish some time to fry.

When one part is fried I then open the lid fully and flip the fish to the other side with the aid of a frying spoon

The worst is frying fish head

If you can afford it, try purchasing a deep fryer. It's the safest way to fry notorious foods that "spit" hot oil back at you. You also get to adjust the length of time taken to cook and how hot you wish your oil to be. smiley
hw much does it cost?

Depends on where you're based and the retail outlet you visit. However, you can get the Black - Delonghi F28313 Deep Fryer (pic of the one I posted on the first page) for £69.99 from Curry's.

Try to use onion sliced into the oil before introducing the fish

You saying kitchen matters aren't front page issues?

Careful there, else we won't be serving you hot meals from our kitchen. We'll go on a one-week strike! cheesy cheesy

lekeey: Try to use onion sliced into the oil before introducing the fish

If she's got a lot of fish to fry, the onions will get burnt.

if the spills on you, just break an egg: i mean raw one and pour it on the place immediately to rule out scald.

Use Leonidas shield to block and his spear to turn the fish. Don't forget to use spartan helmet too.

After a successful frying of the fish shout this is Sparta. grin

Its sometimes unavoidable anyway, you just gotta try to reduce the rate at which the oil splashes.
