Finally I got my tab yesterday from the one and only thespecialone. Its an amazing tab for its price. The packaging is great. Guys imagine if tecno where to sell this tab with all this accessories, like how much would it cost? |

To change your imei. ur tab must be rooted,u must have super user installed,and mobile uncle tools installed. open mobile uncle tools,go to engineering mode,then choose cds information,then Radio information.choose phone1.u wil c a space to input d imei,run d command without brackets but with d " sign[AT +EGMR=1,7,”NEW IMEI NO without dots”] save it and restart ya fone.shalom |

I just discovered that charging it with system/laptop makes the battery weak, if u wanna enjoy your battery, charge it with electricity.d charger is very fast when charging, for fast charging, switch off your tab. |

Another discovery: this tab has two U.I, to switch you will see a circular symbol on the homescreen be the google search bar, just tap it to change to another U.I. This battery has not impressed me, maybe I should underclock the CPU freq. And install greenify app. 1 Like |

engineering mode : *#*#3646633#*#* *tip: turn off all logging. it will soon start giving you out of space error from logs if you don't. *increase speaker volume. its really too low. this unit is really really low. increasing does not really make much difference who wants a MIUI port? |

yes I bought it specifically to learn about mtk porting. Ubuntu Touch is going to be released on mtk devices by some OEMS in about a month and it will take some time to get phones running Qualcomm chips to buy, so yes. I'm in the process of porting miui right now. it boots already. fixing bugs. as soon as I know the exact chip to target I will order another reference device. this is for breaking ground. lack of sources though is an issue but for ubuntu we will get to use it anyhow. *** Tip*** Root and change the DPI in the build.prop t0 176 or 213 i find the 160 ridiculous for the low res screen, the status bar is barely there to drag down. everything is too small. the damn thing is way better as close to Phablet UI as possible if u really require Tablet UI use Xposed to force specific apps. |

Please Take a CWM back up and install an alternate launcher before doing that. that rubbish launcher will stop working the moment u change DPI |

I also have xposed installer and gravity box installed, abeg help me o, a lot of fins we have to deal with including maximising the battery life, I've under clocked it,but still looking for alternatives.thanks |

oskaroni: do a CWM backup anyway. i don't know of any ROM. i'm presently trying to port MIUI. if successful i will upload for you. oskaroni: Please Take a CWM back up and install an alternate launcher before doing that. that rubbish launcher will stop working the moment u change DPI you change DPI by installing "Root Explorer" Root Explorer Method Step 1: Open Root Explorer ("allow" superuser if first time loading) and you should be at the root partition. / Scroll down and select "system". You should now be located in /system. Step 2: Select the "Mount R/W" button at the top. The "r/o" to the left of the button should change to "r/w". Step 3: long press then copy it. paste it on sdcard as backup. go back to /system Long press build.prop and "Open in Text Editor". Step 4: Scroll about half way down and find the line "ro.sf.lcd_density=160". Change it to a value you like 178/213 (I'm tried 213 and everything is BIG). Don't go higher Step 5: Select the "menu" button on your phone and then select "Save Changes". Root Explorer will make a nice build.prop.bak backup for you. Step 6: reboot. oskaroni: i don't know of other things for this device.......yet like i said i don't intend to really use the tab. the screen was poorer than i thot it will be so its a tinkering device, it has been in permanent CWM since 7 this morning. maybe when i take it apart and i change the battery to that of a real device i may use it a bit.... that's not till maybe weekend, depending on how much time i have |
