REFOCUS ON THE HOLY SPIRIT
Dear Father, let the passion to seek the lost
rest upon me mightily in Jesus name. “For
as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they
are the sons of God.” Romans 8:14
In the beginning, creation happened because
of the Presence of the Spirit of God, because
the Bible says that God spoke after the
Spirit of the Lord moved upon the face of
the waters (Gen. 1:2). That tells us that as
much that as God cannot create without His
Word; He also does not operate without His
Spirit. In the same way, our text today
shows us how we believers also ought to
operate; we must be led by the Spirit of God.
The Holy Spirit is the one who makes
Christianity real and He is the source of all
things created and those that will be
created. Therefore, you have to learn to be
conscious of him, to acknowledge His
Person and listen to Him on every issue. It is
your consciousness of His Presence that
breeds the fear of God, something Ananias
and Sapphira neglected to their own
detriment (Acts 5:1-5).
God has given us His Spirit so that we might
know His mind on issues per time, and this
will enable us daily live to please Him and
fulfil His purpose. Therefore you must learn
his presence. Be conscious of him at all
times and talk to Him about every matter
that arises and allow Him lead you into
making decisions that are in line with God’s
Word. With your focus on Him today, you
cannot fail!

TO THIS): Be conscious of the presence of
the Holy Spirit in all that you do in Jesus
name.

GOD'S SYSTEM FOR CONTINUOUS WORSHIP
“Blessed be the Lord, who daily loadeth us
with benefits, even the God of our salvation.”
Psalms 68:19
God is a King; He made the earth and
beautified it for His worship. The story of
the creation in Genesis 1 highlights how He
created various things on different days, and
set these in order on the earth. He planned
and planted new things in every new day for
man to discover, so that with every
discovery we would worship Him. Our text
attests to the fact that His blessings for us
are daily; new every morning.
God’s Agenda therefore, is for man to
constantly and continuously worship Him.
The Bible talks about the will of God being
thanksgiving in all situations (1Thess. 5:18)
, this is because He has arranged your life in
such a way that with every new discovery
and blessing that you procure you would
give Him Glory, acknowledging that He is the
architect of every good and perfect gift.
Glory to God!
Man is a worshiper; to fail to worship God is
therefore to be an idolater, worshiping self,
things or the devil. Do not allow the
deception of the age catch up with you,
where you feel things just happen by chance
and that God is not a part of your life. Every
minute progress you make was pre-planned
to move you closer to Him in worship as you
discover Him as the Lord of All. This is
God’s system for continuous worship. Be
conscious of it today and Worship Him As
you make progress today and receive all that
God has in store for you, worship him!

TODAY'S DEVOTIONAL
REFOCUS IN WORSHIP

“O God, thou art my God; early will I seek
thee: my soul thirsteth for thee, my flesh
longeth for thee in a dry and thirsty land,
where no water is.“ Psalms 63 1
Worship can only happen when a heart is
first channeled in the direction of God in
total focus. In our text today, King David
talks about his soul thirsting for God. His
soul and even his flesh were focused on the
lord. This focus is a prerequisite for the true
worship of God.
Worship isconcentrated adoration expressed
in acts, in words, and in music. By
concentration, we mean a focus of the mind
and resources, while adoration talks of
esteem, love, and veneration which are a
product of value. These combine to produce
acts, words and music that are acceptable
to God as worship, making worship first an
internal thing and then an outward
expression.
So how should you worship God? Start from
within; focus your attention on Him and
meditate on His loving-kindness and mercy
and awesomeness. Then let God’s Spirit
move you to sing, say or do that which
matches with your thoughts about Him. He
may lead you to sing, shout, prostrate,
dance or even give an offering to worship as
you keep your focus and adoration on Him.
As you esteem God this way today and
everyday, He would move into your life and
situation, giving you more reasons to
worship His Name forever. He is a faithful
God!
WE PROPHESY ON YOU TODAY (SAY AMEN
TO THIS): Let your words and thoughts bring
glory to God in Jesus name.
PLAN TO: Set out time to focus your mind
on God and express your love to Him. Try
giving Him 10mins without distraction,
letting your words adore and reverence Him.

GIVE GOD HIS WORSHIP

“Then saith Jesus unto him, Get thee hence,
Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship
the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou
serve.” Matthew 4 10
When the Bible introduced Lucifer as an
angel of worship in Ezekiel 28, it was made
clear that he understood the purpose, mode
and value of true worship. God designed him
to offer continuous worship as an anointed
cherub, but in rebellion, he sought to redirect
worship unto himself. That led to his fall,
and today, he is still in the business of
seeking to alter the direction of worship
today.
The devil steals your worship when he
succeeds in turning your concentrated
adoration onto anything other than God. His
attempt to make Jesus worship him failed as
seen in our text today because Jesus Christ
understood how that only God deserves our
utmost reverence and stewardship. Every
believer ought also to understand this same
thing, attributing worship only to God.
Whatever makes you displace or disbelieve
God is a tool of the devil in stealing your
worship. Decide today not to compromise
your time with God for any other pursuit. Set
out time today to give God the worship due
his name daily. The devil wants your
worship but Refuse to offer him worship
today. Do as Jesus did whenever you are
caught in a position to disbelieve and
displace God. Bind that devil and he will flee
from you. Glory to God.
WE PROPHESY ON YOU TODAY (SAY AMEN
TO THIS): Let every plan of the devil to
distract you from worshipping God fail in
Jesus name.
PLAN TO: Ponder on the things that easily
come to mind distracting you from worship
and begin to take deliberate steps to handle
them.

REFOCUSING ON TEACHING OTHERS
"And the things that thou hast heard of me
among many witnesses, the same commit
thou to faithful men, who shall be be able to
teach others also.". 2 Timothy 2:1
Our text today highlights two virtues that
appeal to GOD, which therefore should be
the focus of our pursuit: faithfulness and
discipleship. A faithful man is one in whom
your faith is full, one who you can vouch for
and trust going by his track record of being
dependable. And discipleship involves
teaching and leading others towards a
particular cause or vision.
GOD's sequence of growth involves
identifying faithful men to whom HE could
commit more. GOD is not just expecting us
to come to church, listen to a sermon and
return home the way we came. HIS pattern is
that believers would be faith in passing on
the truth of HIS word to others who have
shown considerable level of commitment to
HIS course.
A wise man once said, if you would
thoroughly know anything, teach it to others.
JESUS also said that the greatest in the
kingdom is not just a person who does the
word but one that also teaches others to do
the same. Your aspiration as a child of GOD
should therefore be to get to the point where
you begin to teach others also. Step up your
commitment to GOD today by embracing the
available platforms to make disciples for
Christ in your local church.
Say amen to this : May the grace to impart
others with revelation rest on you in JESUS
name.
Speak these words over your life continually

do the word but teach others to do likewise.

STUBBORNNESS: THE NEW FACE OF
IDOLATRY
“For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, and
stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry.
Because thou hast rejected the word of the
LORD, he hath also rejected thee from being
king.”
1 Samuel 15:22-23
Idolatry has received a rebrand. According
to our text today it is stubbornness!
Stubbornness is considered idolatry in the
sight of God. It is deciding to do what you
propose in your heart, despite God’s warning
or instructions. When God says to do
something, the stubborn man says ‘No, it
will make me uncomfortable, so I won’t’ or,
‘I can’t stand what people will say.’
But why is a man stubborn? It is because he
has decided to worship himself. On the
outside, a stubborn man’s stubbornness
seems to be the problem, but the
stubbornness is secondary; it is because of
his idolatry that he is stubborn. He has a
god that he worships – himself. His opinion
is more important to him than the opinion of
God. Therefore God’s instruction does not
matter to him. Any man, who continues in
this attitude, may be rejected by God like
King Saul who was rejected from being king
over Israel.
The instructions of God are not grievous or
to put us in grief. They are for your utmost
good. Yield yourself to God today by
obeying His instruction no matter how your
flesh feels about it or how you may be
perceived by others. You can; the Holy
Ghost is there to help you! Say no to
stubbornness! Say no to idolatry!

TO THIS): I break every hold of stubbornness
and rebellion in your life in Jesus name.

YOU ARE A SOLDIER OF CHRIST

“Thou therefore endure hardness, as a good
soldier of Jesus Christ. No man that warreth
entangleth himself with the affairs of this
life; that he may please him who hath
chosen him to be a soldier.” 2 timothy 2 3-4
Soldiers are often admired for their courage,
resilience and sacrificial living. Their call to
defend their nation in battle often
necessitates their leaving behind every
personal affair to bring back victory. In our
text today, Paul reminds us of how we
ourselves are soldiers, pointing our attention
to the need for utmost focus on our
assignment as soulwinners.
As believers, we are constantly at war;
pulling down strongholds, casting down
imaginations, taking new territories for our
God by propagating His righteousness
everywhere we go. Therefore, if we must
return to our Master with songs of victory on
our lips, we must then fight to keep
ourselves from being enslaved to any pursuit
not in line with our assignment. We must
eliminate excesses and things that slow us
down.
As Soldiers of Jesus Christ, our Last Order
remains: ‘go ye into all the world, and
preach the Gospel.’ Hence, the best part of
our time and resources must be invested
into the actualization of that order.
Everything that seeks to slow down your
pace, puncture your confidence or reduce
your commitment must be given up. You are
in this world but you are not of this world.
You are a soldier of Christ so you must
prioritize the agenda of your kingdom- the
kingdom of God and his Christ above all.
And this agenda is reaching out to the lost
and bringing them to salvation. Glory to
God.

propagate the righteousness of God in Jesus
name.
PLAN TO: Ascertain what takes the most of
your time and resources daily, strategize to

JUDGE YOURSELF
“...for if we would judge ourselves, we
should not be judged.”
1 Corinthians 11:31
One the most important things we must
learn to do as believers is to judge our
selves. This involves examining ourselves in
the light of God’s Word that comes to us
until we clearly see what amends we must
make in repentance and consecration. Our
text today states that God will not need to
judge us if we judge ourselves. How is this
so?
When you got born again, you obtained
salvation. Then through the knowledge of
God, you obtain His power, and as you use
the power of God for his work and daily
living, you begin to accumulate rewards.
When a believer therefore begins to live in
sin, the first thing he may begin to lose is
his reward. If he continues in disobedience
after all this, he may also begin to lose the
power of God in his life. If he still refuses to
repent afterwards, he may end up losing his
soul (salvation).
The Word of God that comes to you is first
for self-judgment. His Word comes to correct
you when you are in error without
knowledge. He rebukes you when you err in
spite of your knowledge, and His judgment
only comes when you keep living in sin
despite your knowledge and his rebuke. This
judgment comes in form of God’s withdrawal
and this can give Satan room to attack us.
You therefore must receive His Word today
in all humility; straightening up in areas
where the Lord so demands. Judge yourself
according to his word and make necessary
changes and you will not be judged by God.
Judge yourself and you will not be judged.
WE PROPHESY ON YOU TODAY (SAY AMEN
TO THIS):Grace to submit to the will of God
in every area of your life in Jesus name.
PLAN TO: Consider those areas you are still
struggling to all complete surrender to the
Lord, ask the Holy Spirit this minute for
grace to yield to the word of God.

THE UNHOLY UNION
"And Israel joined himself unto Baalpeor:
and the anger of the Lord was kindled
against Israel."
Numbers 25:3
Israel was the nation of God, seperated
unto Himself; and from them He expects
total fidelity such as is seen in a marital
relationship where a couple give
themselves wholly to one another and
none else. God's standard has still not
changed today. Our relationship with Him
must be in total fidelity.
The event in our text today was referenced
in 1Cor 10:8, where the Bible described
the act of Israel joining itself to Baalpeor,
an idol, as fornication. In the same
chapter, we are told that twenty-three
thousand persons died in that instance
when the wrath of God came upon their
act. We see then that fornication is not
entirely about having sexual intercourse
with someone you are not married to; it is
joining yourself to something you have no
business with, whether it is a person, a
business, or job or gossip. This kind of
union is an unholy union and may attract
the anger or wrath of God.
Consecrate yourself to God today by
letting this be the temple of your thought
and speech. Say this, 'Lord, all I want is
all you want, and all you want is all I
want; no part of me is seeking something
else!'
See to it that you do not give yourself
over to any thought or engagement that
reduces God to a mere appendage in your
life. Do not give yourself to any unholy
union. Give Him first place!

to this): Receive grace to make God
number oone in your decisions in Jesus
name.

CLAIM YOUR REWARD

GOSPEL PILLARS MINISTRY
“I have not spoken in secret, in a dark place
of the earth: I said not unto the seed of
Jacob, Seek ye me in vain;” Isaiah 45 9
God’s call for you to give yourself to Him in
service is not a call unto poverty or loss. In
our text today he reminds us that he has not
called us to serve him for nothing. That
means there is a reward for every form of
labor we exert in the service of God. How
reassuring! Jesus also says that they are
not only heavenly rewards but also earthly
rewards. Rewards we are to enjoy here on
earth
In claiming my rewards however, faith must
always come into play. This is because when
faithfulness obeys God, compensation is
immediately dished out, but only faith can
make you access it. Whatever deficiency you
may seem to have incurred in the service of
God, faith is given to you to recover all and
much more, so that no matter what you give
to God, you will always have more than
enough. Glory to God!
Therefore, as you respond to instructions for
faithfulness and focus from God today, do
also listen for instructions of faith, so you
may be able to redeem due compensation.
You are due for increase and blessings. Your
labors in prayer, in giving and in
soulwinning is about to be rewarded;
exercise your faith by speaking God’s
provision into reality today in Jesus name.

LET GOD LEAD YOU
Isaiah 48:17
“Thus saith the LORD, thy Redeemer, the
Holy One of Israel; I am the LORD thy God
which teacheth thee to profit, which leadeth
thee by the way that thou shouldest go.”

To enjoy God’s provision every day, you have
to learn and cultivate the habit of listening
to the voice of His Spirit. If you are born
again, the Holy Spirit lives in you, and the
reason He came is so that He can help you
be the best that God has destined you to be.
***
God’s Spirit, being wiser and smarter and
more alert than you are, knows everything
about your past, present and future. He
knows what you must do now to enter into
God’s provision for your life. Getting
acquainted with His Voice and His person is
therefore the right thing to do. This involves
spending quality time in fellowship with Him
every day and meditating on scriptures, so
you can recognize when He speaks to you.

God’s promise to always lead you in the
right path is fulfilled in His giving you the
Holy Spirit. Failure to acknowledge the
person of the Holy Spirit each day in
fellowship is therefore tantamount to
rejecting the help and leadership of God. Let
God lead you today by His Word and
through the voice of His Spirit into His good
plan for your life.

women caught up in the sex trade would find
Christians who would reach out to them and
care for their many needs.

Oh Lord my God, I thank you for your love
for me since the year began. Father, I
consecrate myself to you this month. Let me
not fall short of your best for my life this
year. Open my heart to new things by your
Spirit. Fill me with the knowledge of your
will in all wisdom and spiritual
understanding. Let my heart yearn for you
every hour in Jesus Name. Amen.
