Over the past few years a wave of economic crises swept across Nations of the world, the economies of most countries were affected by this economic crisis. This wave left sectors of most nations’ economy dwindling while others have crashed but there are other sectors of the economy that have survived the economics storm. During these stormy periods organizations and businesses crashed, those that barely survived had to make unexpected and unplanned decisions against their desires due to the effect of the crises, these decisions had negative effect on various Nations and on sectors of their economy. Businesses were affected negatively, and the rate of unemployment sky rocketed in most nations. At the moment, only few countries are out of the storm while most nations are still battling with the menace; how was the former able to scale through crises and what is the latter doing that the former is not. This is where Economy and business come together and thus the focus of the Institute of Business and Economic Analysts.

The Institute of Business and Economic Analysts, Nigeria (IBEAN) is a professional, training and examining body in Nigeria established under the act of Parliament 1990 and approved by the Federal Ministry of Education FCT, Abuja. The Institute is focused on building, developing and enlightening organizations, businesses and business owners, private individuals on the need to analysis organizations and business for efficient productivity and positive impact on the Nation’s Economy.
Institute of Business and Economic Analysts, Nigeria is registered with the Cooperate Affairs Commission FCT, Abuja (RC1143163) and empowered to Organize Trainings, Seminars and Workshops for Members and Non-Members, Award certificates, Regulate Business and Economic issues, Human Capacity Building, Business Development and Human Capital Development for the main goal and purpose of individual, businesses and economic growth and development at large.
The Institute is also empowered to regulate business activities for positive effect on the economy of the nation; To hold examinations in business, economics and other subjects relevant to the profession and to issue certificates of merit on the results therefore and to make other awards as desirable; To practice business in relation to the economy and to advise the government and the private sectors on business and economic matters; To provide opportunities for contacts between members of the institute or connected thereto professional organization within and outside the Nation for profitable business activities and to protect their mutual interest; and many others.
MEMBERSHIP: Membership of the Institute cut across every state of the Federation, National and International. The Institute is a Professional body with members from every legal works of life. Membership of the Institute cuts across every work- Businessmen, Businesswomen, Professional Practitioners, Legal Practitioners, Military personals, members of Professional bodies, Interested individuals, Students/Graduates from any reputable and recognized Higher Institution/ Universities/ Polytechnics within and outside the country e.t.c. The Institute has five levels of membership with different entry requirement for each level and based on the qualification of the interested applicant. Four levels have corresponding designatory letters that can be used after the member’s name.
