With keen interest, i followed all the happenings during the late Muammar al-Gaddafi's pre cum post regime in Libya. How the people were incited and encouraged to pick up arms. The resulting effect of this is still very evident on Libya's economy and the fragmentation of the Libyan society. But of much interest to me was the role played by the United States of America and France in the whole crisis.

The United State backed the 'rebels' with funds and technical support and while some french fight alongside the rebels. The US initially claimed 'they will not be involved in the crisis and that libyan people have the right to cart a new course in their history'. Of course this was just a mere statement because US pushed for the rebel to be recognized by the United Nations and that aids should be made available to these 'rebels'. The US "air-dropped" mass WEAPONS to the 'rebels' on the battle front and offered to train some on tactical operations. In March 2011, five United States Air Force bombers (three B-2s and two B-1Bs) dropped bombs on at least 100 targets in Libya.In June 2011, bombers thought to be from France killed nine civilians in Libya, including two toddlers.(source:wikipedia)
The rest is history! But of current interest is the fact that most of those weapons that were used by both Gaddafi groups and rebel groups were never accounted for!!!

Most of the weapons have rear its ugly head in Mali, Central African Republic and are being brandished by the good for nothing sect called Boko Haram. The repeated failure of the so called Nation-police to "clean up" their weapons after use has contributed immensely to the wanton deaths on our streets by arms group.

So, can we invariably say that the US helps Boko Haram build weapons cache?

i thought about this too. america is responsible for 70% of the crisis in this world directly or indirectly and this is why we don't need them to solve the problem of bh. they come and leave a place worse than they met it.
