We live in a society where many people frown on inter-religious and inter-tribal marriages.Due to this fact they are many people who have called of their engagements because their family will not accept a certian tribe or religion.My fellow nairalanders i am asking for your views on this topic,do you think it right or wrong? What and how do you suggest this can be tackled in our society today? |

Its like a quest that would never 'celebrate' its emancipation or fufillment.many struggle hard now,but overall that opinion still jst stick.yet there are reasons some cant even debate likwise! |

A marriage is between two adults who love each other and FREELY decide to build and live their lives together. Where is religion,parental control and ethnicity in this definition? Nobody should have a say about marriage outside the intending couple. What is important is to insist on the blessing of their parents. If the parents withhold this,na their own headache. Only a foolish man/woman lets go of true love on the altar of deferring to matchless ignorance.  1 Like |

i think religion and tribe should have nothing atall to do with marriage, it's between the two adults that are involved. |
