In a commando style, members of Ebonyi State
House of Assembly, Monday morning impeached
the Speaker, Chukwuma Nwazunku.
18 out of the 24 members of the Assembly
reportedly voted out the Speaker.
The members lifted the suspension of the three
members before impeaching Nwazunku.
The three members are Hon Frank Onwe, Hon Eni
Uduma Chime and deputy speaker, Hon Blaise
Orji.
Hon Frank Onwe moved the motion for the
Speaker’s impeachment which was seconded by
the minority leader, Hon Enyi C. Enyi.
Thereafter, Hon Eni Uduma Chima representing
Afikpo South West moved the motion for election
of Hon Helen Nwaobasi representing Abakaliki
South state constituency.
The motion was seconded Hon Jerry Obasi.
