shoturtrap: Ok here's this one.
Any two digit number multiplied by 11 just add the number and put it in between the original numbers if ur answer is a two digit number add the first number to the original first digit. Example

25 x 11 = 2 (2+5) 5= 275
32 x 11 = 3 (3+2) 2= 352
86 x 11 = 8 (8+6) 6= 8(14)6
Add first number of the answer to the original first digit
= 946
79 x 11 = 7 (7+9) 9= 7(16)9= 869.
10 x 11 = 1 (1+0) 0= 110

So that's one short or simple way I used back then in the primary school to quickly solve maths problems involving the 11 multiplication table.

nice one bro.....

could also be done thus ..

11 *1 = 10+1=11

11*2=20+2=22

11*3=30 +3=33

.

.

.11*325 = 3250+325 =3575

' & so on
hence
=> 11*n = n'0' +n

that's it

fxjones: hello fellow mathemacians,
just discover this while manipulating numbers, in class

how you quickly find the square of numbers without lifting a finger.

eg find the square of 15?

u can quickly do this without using calc or writing down

just say: 1*1+1 = 2
then find 5*5 = 25
lastly combine them together = 225

example 2

find the square of 25
again: 2*2+2 =6
then 5*5 again = 25
join them together = 625

example 3:

find the square of 75

again you say 7*7+7 = 56
and 5*5 = 25
finally join them together as we did before = 5625

this formula only work for numbers between 1-100 and the last number must end with 5

I will post the formula for other range: keep rocking!
Going by your formula, square of 10 and 11 would be:
10=
1*1+1=2
0*0=0
Puting it together we have 20 which is wrong
For 11 square
1*1+1=2
1*1=1
That is 21 wrong too

For 12 square
1*1+1=2
2*2=4
We hav 24 which is wrong again.
Can u justify this.
...U shouldn't have said for number 1-100, u would have said for some selected numbers endind in 5. D title is confusing. I just saw d note at †ђξ end of †ђξ post.

BUT that's only if this is your original work o

. This rule is only for numbers comprising of digmit having its tenth weighted value of 5 eg 15,25,35,45,55,65,75....95! It doesn't hold with a number like 10,11,12,13. This can be quite misleading.....I think mathematical fomulations and modelling should be exerted into full test and scrutiny before thrown to public.

This method is too long, though u tried. Mine is
27*11 = just multiply 27 by 10, this will give u 270, add 27 to 270. This equals 297. Same applies to any other figure

how you quickly find the square of numbers without lifting a finger.

eg find the square of 15?

u can quickly do this without using calc or writing down

just say: 1*1+1 = 2
then find 5*5 = 25
lastly combine them together = 225

example 2

find the square of 25
again: 2*2+2 =6
then 5*5 again = 25
join them together = 625

example 3:

find the square of 75

again you say 7*7+7 = 56
and 5*5 = 25
finally join them together as we did before = 5625

this formula only work for numbers between 1-100 and the last number must end with 5

I will post the formula for other range: keep rocking!
