Atleast they are making more money, that's good business.it would have been bad had it being that the players were leaving on a free transfer. They can reinvest the money to buy few young, talented and relatively unknown english players

You cannot compare United to Southampton.Manchester united is a bigger and a financially stable club unlike southampton.You cannot expect southampton to refuse such tempting offers from richer clubs.Maybe when they are financially stable they will sign big players.
