The assault on the late gallant Nigerian policemen occurred on the eve of President Jonathan’s departure to Brazil which has been well publicized. A number of officials suggested he postponed the visit and addressed the situation squarely he nonetheless argued that the security agencies where on top of the situation. On his way to the airport that day, he converged with the NSA, security chiefs and service chiefs and gave the directive that troops should be deployed to the area and leaders and members of the sect should be nibbled. He further directed that security officials should be in full alert in conterminous states to prevent the attacks from diffusing.
The president did not stop at that, he used informal channels to reach out to the Emirs and prominent Islamic leaders in the North. The Northern leaders were told to mobilize support against Boko Haram. Let me ask the question; Was Yusuf the so called leader of the boko haram innocent?

Yusuf is not exactly innocent. But the Federal Government championed by Boko Haram wasn't prudent enough with the lives and security of Nigerians.
