Translating literally to “the man who has reached perfection”, al-Insān al-Kāmil is an Arabic phrase that is colloquially and exclusively used to describe the Islamic Prophet Muhammad as the perfect human being. More than just a phrase, though, it stands as a crucible of Islamic doctrine and one that each and every single Muslim on Earth inherently adheres to. Indeed, it is this caveat of the Muslim identity in which the very idea of there being a moderate Muslim often begins to unravel.
