Last week Washington announced that the US President, Barrack Obama would be meeting with African leaders for a crucial talk. As part of the meeting, the First Lady of the US, Michelle Obama would also meet with the first ladies of African countries on the 6th of August. No sooner was this announcement made than the press in Nigeria announced that President Goodluck Jonathan had barred his wife, Patience Jonathan from attending the meeting. Is the President not making a mistake here, considering the fact that his wife is the leader of the African First Ladies Peace Mission (AFLPM)?

African first ladies should show their anger at Jonathan for preventing their leader from leading them.
