NB Before NL APC fan club descends on me, I had actually predicted the victory of Aregbesola in this thread I opened weeks back.

however with the results available I must say the PDP candidate exceeded my expectation, I had predicted a easy landslide for Aregbesola but it seems as if it was actually a close and Omisore put up a fight securing nearly 40% of the cast votes, that's a good sign considering Osun is the APC's strongest bastion in the southwest and even GEJ lost there in 2011, The battle for the soul of the southwest continues, PDP won one , APC has one, Lagos,Oyo and Ogun are going to be very close next year.
Congrats to Aregbesola and the people of Osun for making their voice heard, to Prof Jega for yet another fantastic job, to president GEJ for the enabling environment although I feel militarization is unnecessary.............
