Sunny Ofili, Special Adviser on Information and Communication Technology to Governor Emmanuel Uduaghan of Delta State, and the Obi of Issele-Uku, Henry Ezeagwunam, Saturday died in an auto crash at Otulu junction, along Benin-Asaba-Onitsha expressway.One of the sons of the traditional ruler also lost his life in the accident.The trio were travelling in a Sport Utility Vehicle which burst into flames after crashing into a stationary truck, with Edo registration number- FUG 238 XA."">Eyewitnesses said the monarch was driving while Mr. Ofili was on the passenger’s side at the time of the accident.The rear tyres, it was gathered, got destroyed from the impact, with the SUV burnt beyond recognition.

Officials of the Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC) rushed to the scene due to a gridlock caused by the incident.Recall that the governor’s aide recently showed interest in running for a seat in the Delta State House of Assembly to represent Aniocha North constituency."">Recently, he started his campaign by making donations to communities in his council area.
