The Osun election has come and gone, despite all the intrigues, horse trading, tensions, accusations and counter accusations, I guess the release of the result will definitely douse the political tension in Osun and the country at large and we can all settle to the business of governance, though for a short while, as 2015 is already around the corner.
I must single the president, GEJ for praise, he has truly lived to his words, that as far as he is president, gone are the days of usurpation of the will of the people, that the will of the people must count, and not just that, that every vote must count and that every man, woman and youth are entitled to only one vote. And every law abiding citizen is protected, feel secured, and no more untimely deaths of our NYSC brothers and sisters in the name of election.
To me, a dark cloud in our political history has finally passed over, the will of the people must count and the will of the people in The State of Osun has counted.
This leaves no fear in my mind, that come 2015, the will of the people will definitely count. Big thumbs to you, GEJ, your cap is really big and ll be remembered in the annals of our history as the first president who has sided even against his party and let the will of the people count.

But before you begin to commend Gej for his statutory responsibility, what have you got to say where the military/dss/police and masked men are been used to arrest and intimidate opposition leaders and agents as was witnessed in the ekiti and osun elections.

GEJ didn't deliver any free and fair election. PDP/GEJ's plan and efforts to rig were countered by people turning out en mass to vote against them and defend their votes.

Or what is fair in arresting opposition leaders on the eve of election and on election day. And what is free and fair in using thugs and militants (masked men) to monitor election all in the name of providing security?

Am sorry to say but you are a donkey , After all the violence , abductions ,harassment s , gun holding and the military vandalizing on human rights you still ask for gej to be commended KAI YOUR FATHER SEF

GEJ must truely be commended for allowing the free and fair election, allowing people of the state to speak for themselves.

Posterity will be kind to GEJ. Before now, Nigerians have never known free and fair elections. Hopefully do or die politics, iwuruwuru elections and politics of assassination is gone forever in Nigeria.

God just proved a point....GEJ is a mere mortal....and inconsequential in the plan of God for the people of Osun.

we all know how elections have been in this country before now. in some areas which I have witnessed, you even fear to go into a polling station if u r not voting a particular party, gun shots every where by armed tugs, is that what up want to continue? I prefer the military or police even though in very large number than armed tugs. anybody against our security forces is not a friend of Nigeria, such is just an enemy and a hater of peace and security. if u don't do anything wrong, why do u ve to bother?
