Why Gov. Aregbesola’s Victory Is Good for Nigeria

Osun State Gov. Rauf Aregbesola has been re-elected via APC!
Thankfully, the victory was so decisive as to be almost landslide!!

HERE ARE THE WINNERS:
(1): Gov. Aregbesola: Congratulations on a well-deserved victory. You earned and kept the trust of the people of Osun State.
(2): Senator Iyiola Omishore: Congratulations on a well-fought campaign and for its peaceful aftermath
(3): INEC. Congratulations on conducting two credible elections in a row. You strengthened the faith of Nigerians in democracy and the system.
(4): NIGERIANS. Congratulations. Voting matters. Whether purchased with cooked rice or palm wine, your vote DOES count.

ELECTIONS ARE FUNNY:
HIGH STAKES ELECTION IS LIKE VISITING THE TEMPLE OF A PRIMITIVE UNPREDICTABLE GOD!
You bring gift; you hope the priest isn't drunk; you offer sacrifice and go home. But deep down you are not sure if your blessings will come as good fortunes in the FUTURE or if your prayer has ALREADY been answered simply in the fact that the god did NOT demand your head as sacrifice, LOL.

BUT ELECTIONEERING IS SERIOUS:
APC PARTY. Congratulations on winning 1 out of 2 contests. You deserved it. The LESSON is that INEC is not your enemy AND that the system can work if your selfish leaders would stop acting like regional mafia bosses. If APC wants to win nationally APC must reorganize and contest nationwide.

PDP PARTY. Congratulations. You deserve a medal for losing gracefully. The LESSON is that you are NOT unbeatable. Ruling is NOT the job. All Nigerians expect a ruling party to improve security and the economy.

FINAL NOTE:
It is NOT the duty of a Ruling Party (PDP) to spoon-feed and nurture the Opposition Party (APC) so APC must stop its childish habit of blaming PDP for APC’s internal problems. But democracy demands that in making decisions on national issues the Ruling Party take the Opposition's opinions into serious consideration.

After all, it would be difficult for a person to have a chip on his shoulder if, from time to time, you give him a chance to take a victorious bow.
