The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Mr.
Aminu Tambuwal, had a secret meeting with the
former president, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, at his
Hilltop home, Abeokuta, capital of Ogun State on
Tuesday.Tambuwal who arrived the former
president’s residence around 5.30pm left around
6.18pm.Our correspondent gathered that the visit
might not be unconnected with the speaker’s
ambition in 2015.It is being rumoured that he was
nurturing a presidential ambition.However, his media
aide, Mr. Imam Imam, said Tambuwal and Obasanjo
only rubbed minds on the state of the nation, and
how to move it forward.He said, “You know Baba is a
father to all in the country. The visit was a
consultation. “It is about rubbing minds on how to
move the country forward, and make Nigeria
better.”Asked whether the visit was in connection
with Tambuwal’s alleged presidential ambition in
2015, Imam said he could not confirm that because it
was a closed door meeting between Tambuwal and
Obasanjo.He said, “I could not say anything on that

on. Let’s wait till 2015 and then we will address
