Fully confirmed that stream 2 is Lagos. Mostly those that didnt get the sms got calls asking if they will be available for TS in owerri. Really, if Lagos is Stream 10 sef I will prefer that to Stream 1 Owerri...What I do not understand now is this Stream 1 ish. Why will db send texts to Stream 2 before Stream 1. Also why has nobody received Stream 1 sms? Is it possible somehow that this Stream 1 peeps are the ones who recently attended TS before us? I am so interested in knowing what this Stream 1 ish is and if at all it exists wihin our own circle...

a friend of my got a call for owerri Ts and later an sms for April 6, another no call but sms for April 6 both stream 2. Yet another only call no sms. However, HR insisted that all sms have been sent according to them. We were like 75 in total more or less that did medicals cos the porous secretary kept on flipping the list...mojo mojo..... By Monday, however, lastest info go land sha.

weda 80 or 120 jst know it that frm April 6 or March 2 ur entitled to full salary (247) i guess, but d backlog will be paid after d final interview with an ED... Well structured bank with better welfare. This backlog includes all ur entitlement n benefit. So we travelling far frm home, don't worry diamond will blast u bigger after conversion...but una must read well oh.

if truly we re entitled to 247k and we are only going to be paid 80k for 6 months duration, that is 167k multiplied by 6 = 100200 (not yet paid)
im in stream 2 so im just gonna do my calculation from April 6. as i was saying, from April to Sept. is 6months. damn! someone would be a millionaire by Oct.

From the convoluted recruitment process to the tortuous waiting time to the ridiculous and inconsiderate training location, in addition to the meager(my opinion) initial salary have all dissuaded me from the job.

Hello Muna,

If your main reason is the training location, call DB HCM that you can't secure accomodation in that location. I might be rescheduled for Lag TS. I'm sure something may be worked out to favour you, just that it might take a little while depending on when Lag TS will be opened for new entry level.

Don't be discouraged about that 80k training allowance because you'll be paid 500 naira daily transport allowance, during TS and branch attachment, which will be paid at the month end. You will also be properly fed.

DB is a nice place to work.

The only issue I can fully understand is the location of the training but I am also of the view that you should have called diamond hr to let them know where you stood. This should have been done immediately you got your message. I know someone who was called to inform him of the owerri stuff. He told them that would not be convenient and funny enough he ended up getting the message for lagos ts. I do not know if db hr will still entertain such but please try. There is no harm in trying.
Secondly, we all agree that the allowance during the training is little but my dear when compared to the training allowance paid by some other companies/banks, it stands out as one of the best if not the best. Plus the fact that we will be given breakfast and lunch and then even transportation allowance at the end of the month not forgetting also that the balance of 160k per month will still be paid after confirmation! What more can we ask for?
Thirdly, my dear mighty muna, you have tarried this far. Why give up when you have the diamond in your hands? Things may not always go easy but that is what makes us stronger. Are you going to keep giving up when life throws you lemons? Please don't. Things are not going to be easy for those of us posted to lagos too considering the high cost of accommodation and cost of living in lagos plus traffic and stress of lagos wahala. Try to look for someone that was posted to owerri if you can both share accommodation and share the cost if that is the issue.

It's possible to decline if the venue isn't okay. I complained last year and was considered. all you need to do is call db hcm. About the training allowance, I think it's among the best. I've had previous jobs and when u compare these things you know that diamond bank is a very good choice. except you have a better option. but don't let these temporary problems influence your decision. All the same, it's your choice

u r talking about interview,does it mean that u wrote thier test in abj..? When ?cos we hav bin on d look amsince the beginin of 2014 for the northern recruitment process.

U people are funny...note dt if a bank provide u wit 80k monthly dey can neva give u acomodation...its just for 8wks...and u wud be attachd...acomodation stuf ended like 6years ago.....so one has to adapt because dey r d once trainin u guys....munamighty I wud advise u to go for dt job...unless u v a beta offer
