[b]This programme is rated 16: VL Title of FILM: AWELE Kingdom This film will be showing every Monday Morning(1am) Blue color Copyright©SammyHoe In the Awele Kingdom, women rule the kingdom. Men are just like women in the real world while women play men role. Men stays at home to take care of their children and women go to the farm, to workplaces and so on, to raise a home. Cast Aina: A woman Adeoye: A man Ewa: The prince(a lady) Sewa: The King(Ewa's mother) Ajani: The Queen(Ewa's Father) (Aina enters the room. She hears her baby crying) Scene 1 Aina: Adeoye! Adeoye! Adeoye! Adeoye: Ha! Welcome Olowo ori mi(Adeoye went on his knees to greet his wife) Aina: Why is our baby weeping like that? Haven't you fed him? Adeoye: Olowo ori mi, I have fed him with milk but it's like he is not satisfied with it. Aina: Hmm...Eeeh eeh...(Aina sighs) Adeoye: I hope there is no problem my dear. Aina: Not much problem anyway. Adeoye: (helps to pull off her overall) Let me fetch some Amala for you my dear. I have cooked it with your best soup, Egusi. I know you will enjoy it. Aina: Be ni tie ri...Go and bring it my darling. (Adeoye rushes to the kitchen to fetch the meal. Aina tasted the meal.) Aina: Too much pepper in this food! Ahn Ahn! Is this what you call food? Adeoye: Please my dear don't be angry with me. I will go straight into the kitchen once again to cook something better. Aina: Please do on time. I am very hungry after working under the sun since morning. If you can't cook my food well, maybe I will have to branch at Baba Bisi's canteen to eat before coming home. Adeoye: It hasn't come to that my wife. I will go and cook the food right now(he runs to the kitchen) Aina: Please do(Aina begins to talk to herself) This husband isn't performing his responsibility as a full-time househusband. Mtchew! And he keeps begging me each time I wanted to send him packing. O ga o. Scene 2 (Ewa, the ladyprince of the Awele kingdom is ripe for marriage already. But she hasn't seen any man that pleases her yet. She is in need of a virgin, but it seems all the men in the kingdom are no more virgins. Ewa was sitting in front of the house one day and sees Adeoye.) Ewa: Hey. Come here! Adeoye: (runs to meet her. He kneels before her) Omoba, I am here. I hope there is no problem? Ewa: I call you so that there will not be a problem. Stand up young man. What is your name? Adeoye: Adeoye. Ewa: hmm...(she smiles). Adeoye, sit beside me here.(Adeoye walks slowly. He is scared of her. She hugs him. Adeoye tries to resist her.) Adeoye: Ah! Ah! Please let me go! Please let me go! Ewa: You are not going anywhere Adeoye. Infact you will follow me to the palace right now. I will show you to my mother the king of Awele village. She has been bothering me to bring home a husband and I will be pleased to let her know that you are the one my soul has chosen. Adeoye: But I am already married. Ewa(laughs): That is not a big deal! You will just have to end the marriage with whoever you have married! Adeoye: Abomination! Ewa: (laughs) Adeoye, put your mind at rest. There is no cause for alarm. You are too beautiful a man to let you go. See, whatever bridegroom price that has been paid on you, I, Ewa, am ready to return it to your wife. I shall marry you as soon as possible. And if I threaten to send him out of the house he will kneel down begging. Mtchew! (Enters Fafunke) Fafunke: Aina, here you are. There is fire on your roof! Aina: How? Fafunke: Where is your househusband if I may ask? Aina: I didn't meet him at home. Did you see him Fafunke? Fafunke: (sighs) Eeh eeh! Aina, you are in trouble. Aina: What happen?(Aina pulls her friend Fafunke) Fafunke: Right now as we are talking, your husband is sitting on the lap of Ewa, the prince of this kingdom. Aina: Abomination! What will he say come upon him? Fafunke: That's the truth Aina! Please don't tell anybody that I tell you anything, right? Bye bye. Aina: Come here Fafunke. You have not reached the bottom of the pot. Tell me if you are joking. Fafunke: Do I look like a joker? Bye. (Aina claps her hands together and tightens a shawl belonging to her husband around her waist. She is ready to make trouble with the King's daughter(Prince Ewa).
