Prejudices and primordial tendencies seem to have taken a center stage in the race to Abia government house come 2015.
A section of the state is counting on zoning to acquire such a highly coveted seat while they have contested fiercely in every election. Does it mean that the office of the governor is their birth right? This is the question begging for our answer.
Unfortunately, this people have not proffered any solution (answers) to the various problems bedeviling the state. What Abia people expect in 2015 is an issue based electioneering and someone who will deliver the dividends of democracy to them having realized they can’t keep doing the same thing and expect a different result.
Never again shall Abians be taken for granted!
Never again shall the heart of the citizens of God’s own state be broken!
Never again shall the sacred wishes of Abians be sacrificed on the altar of mediocrity and self aggrandizement!
Power is not given on a platter of gold rather it should be subjected to a fierce and level playing field be given to all so that the best can emerge. Our dear state has been stagnated for too long.
We acknowledge that change is not easy to come by but to God be the glory that a man of courage, Dr Uchechukwu Sampson Ogah fondly called USO has been prepared by God as a vehicle to bring hope to the people of Abia.
Let us face it, placing antecedents and track records side by side, none of the aspirants can boast of the level of Uche Ogah’s contribution to the Nigerian society not minding the high positions they have held in government.
Let us embrace USO for a new Abia State anchored on high pedestal of development where we shall be the pride and envy of Nigeria.
