The attitude of many politicians in Nigeria will
make one to wonder if there are still politicians
with integrity, steadfastness, consistency,
reliabilty among various qualities that a
consummate and people oriented politicians
should posses.
In 2002, Gen Muhammadu Buhari declared his
intention to join politics as an opposition
politician because of what he describes as the
inability of the rulling Peoples Demicratic Party
PDP to deliver the dividends of democracy which
they promised Nigerians in 1999. He contested
the 2003 presidential election as the leading
opposition candidate.
In 2007, he did not change his mind as he
contested against the rulling party. He stood firm
in what he believes. He became more resilient
and determined as the days go bye. In 2011, he
took another step in the same direction. The
Peoples Demicratic Party PDP was ready to
wooe Buhari as they were ready to give even
more than half of their kingdom to bring Buhari
to their fold. Buhari stood firm and held to his
believe and vision that the PDP which has failed
Nigerians should be shown the way out by the
ballots.
The likes of Mallam Abubakar Shekarau who at
one time contested the presidential election
against the rulling PDP and urged Nigerians to
boot the PDP out of office is today in the PDP
beaming with smiles and has desclaimed
everything he said against the PDP. Alhaji Atiku
Abubakar also contested the election against the
PDP and insisted that PDP is evil and should be
shown the way out of Aso Rock. It wasnt long,
he went back to the PDP. However, he was able
to retrace his steos quickly back to the
opposition.
The most recent among many others is Mallam
Nuhu Rubadu who stunned Nigerians with his
latest decision to join the PDP after calling the
PDP the biggest conglomerate of corrupt
Nigerians. He contested the presidency against
PDP and went round the country bashing and
kicking the PDP. Today, he is well in the PDP
beaming with smiles and hoping to become the
next governor of Adamawa state.
It is a fact that the PDP has the national
resources at its disposal and is ready to
generously share with anyone who decides to
pitch ones tenth with them without grudges. The
availability of resources for every high ranking
member of the PDP is a driving force attracting
people from the opposition who have little or no
pride and integrity.
People are really wondering whether politicians
in Nigeria really have the interest of the masses
at heart as they claim if one can abandon all he
or she said and claim to believe just because he
or she is wooed by a political office or
appointment. Nigerians are becoming more
confused now more than ever considering the
attitude of those they think they can trust.
Those who took the difficult and unpopular step
to abandan the huge resources available in the
PDP and is distributed generously to the high
ranking members can onlybbe described as
heroes and heroines. It takes a decisive and
deternined mind to leave plenty and go to a
place he or she will make contributions to make
tgings better. A few Nigerians have taken such
step and that shows there is still hope for
Nigeria.
In the midst of all these, there is still one who
has raised the banner of integrity, consistency,
character and relaibilty apart from his proven
zero tolerance to corruption, materialism and
indescipline. The Man is Muhammadu Buhari.
The one that you can look up to and see that
there are still politicians with integrity whos
primary interest is the well being of Nigerians.
With a man like Muhammadu Buhari, all hope is
not lost.
Nigerians have a reason to believe that there is
still integrity and prudence in the nation.
Muhammadu Buhari stood tall, is still standing
tall and there is no doubt that he will continue to
stand tall.

No matter how black you people try to paint him, I have made up my mind to vote for the GENERAL this time if he chooses to contest. We need to try another party at the center. No man does the same thing over and over again and expect a change. GOD BLESS NIGERIA
