I did not use that English textbook, cos I attended a government primary school. At that time private schools used Macmillan while we the government school pupils used Longman Day by Day English textbook.

We all wanted to be like the spartan boys. The was not in use at my time but I still got to read it. We still have it and many other old school books in my family library. Today, I could still see some of my niece and nephews catching a glimpse of them. Looks like the last of the best authors died long time ago.

Really nice inspiring stories abound in the school curriculum collection and have always remembered this amongs others.
