Hello great guys
Please I registered for IELTS myself and get an email confirmation. I received every details to pay and I complied with it. I saw pay through bank transfer and I transferred the money to their account at standard chartered directly which I received alert. But I have not heard of any confirmation from them. Hope I have not wasted 68k just like that.
Please need your advice great mind

IELTS, a minimum score of 6.0 overall bands is required. This is what my school says......I score L-5,S-7,R-6,W-6.5. Overall 6. Pls does it mean I will need to write another one with the statement. Because my listening score is below 6

Try and input the required details again to be sure.
If you still can't find the results you should contact the British Council or visit their nearest office.

As far as I can remember, payment for ielts is only by bank draft.
You should however contact British Council, explaining your situation, and ask whether they can confirm your payment. Otherwise, ask the procedure for refund.

If your school requires minimum band 6, it implies you may have to retake the test, unfortunately. There is an option of remarking but reading and listening scores rarely ever change after remarking.

Received the results for my 25th March tests.
L-8.5, R-6.5, W-7.0, S-8.0, Overall, 7.5
The reading component, which I thought would be my best result, turned out to be my undoing as I need a band 7 in it.

Is it possible to get an increased score after Revaluation / Enquiry on Results (EOR) on the READING component? I know it is usually difficult since its an objective exam, but are there any experiences.

Thanks in advance.

SHARE IELTS BOOKS WHICH HELPED ME GET BAND 8.5 IN IELTS

I'm glad to share the IELTS books I used to get Band 8.5 for IELTS ( For these following books, you can leave your email here so that I can send directly to you or you can access one of my favorite IELTS blog named ieltsmaterial.com to download)

For improving my vocabulary, I chose English Vocabulary in Use (upper-intermediate), English Collocations in Use. These books are great and help me improve my style of written and spoken English to get fluent and natural-sounding English.

For Grammar, I learnt a lot from this excellent book: English Grammar in Use by Raymond Murphy, Advanced Grammar in Use

For Reading, I polished up my Reading skills by reading articles on the world-wide famous website named economist.com and learnt from Improve Your IELTS Reading Skills by Sam McCarter (best-selling IELTS writer), and practicing IELTS Reading Recent Actual Test Vol 1, 2

For Listening, I chose IELTS Listening Recent Actual Tests Vol 1,2

For Writing, I'm a fan of these books: Improve Your IELTS Writing Skills by Sam McCarter, Write Right, Visuals by Gabi Duigu.
I also learnt a lot from this blog: ieltsmaterial.com for IELTS Writing Task 2 (& I got 8.0 for Writing)

For Practice Tests, the following books reflect the actual IELTS: Cambridge IELTS Practice Test Series 1 - 10, The Official Cambridge Guide to IELTS
, and Barron's IELTS Practices Exams

For IELTS tips, strategies and guides, I highly recommend IELTS Target Band 7: How to maximise your score and The official cambridge guide to IELTS , new insight into IELTS

I think they'll notify you within one week of your test.
Again, if you're coming from out of town, it's likely you'll have your speaking test same day as well. When I had my test in Abuja, my speaking test started a few hours after the written ones. Those residing in Abuja had theirs the day before, or the day after.

Hi people, I wrote my exams also on the same date April 8, 2017 and i have seen my result online.

Speaking - 8
Writing: 7.5
Reading - 7
Listening - 7

I hope this works for my express entry application. To be honest , I didn't prepare at all. I took it for granted.

You should try checking your scored again. if you don't find it today, try again tomorrow, if you still don't get in then you may need to visit their office.

Hello house, I am very grateful to everyone who has contributed to this thread. I recently took the IELTS test on the 8th of April, 2017, precisely in Benin city, edo state. I have checked online several times, but I get the same response "no result found ". I humbly appeal to those who have their provisional results online, could you kindly specify, what part of the country, state or centre you took the test, the website for checking the results and the data filled in. This information could be very beneficial to other candidates, who may be making one error or another in the process of checking for their results online. Factual and direct responses will be appreciated .Thanks alot.
