Minister of Health Professor Onyebuchi Chukwu announced today August 22nd that Nigeria has recorded two new cases of the Ebola disease.

The Minister said the two new cases are spouses of dead Ebola victims who had primary contact with late Patrick Sawyer, the man who brought Ebola to Nigeria. Prof. Chukwu said the two new cases are the first secondary contacts in isolation to test positive to the deadly virus.

This brings the total number of cases in Nigeria to 14, with 5 deaths and 5 survivors. Details soon..

We must consciously halt this malady in its track before we start hearing of "tertiary" and" quartenary" contact of EVD.

Just hope we shall not get to a level where a whole community will be shut-in and a shoot-at-sight order issued for any one trying to leave as is being played out in Liberia.

How unfortunate for these "secondary" contact EVD patients !!

Health workers ought to be more pro-active.If you have had contact or been around an Ebola infected patient,you ought to stay away from people including your family members until you are given the all clear.
Why go home and infect your family members too?Love no reach that side na.

They queried the suspected case for too long that is .......the time it took to suspect Ebola and by then the deed is done.
We know when they isolated the secondary contact which is up to two weeks now and before then these secondary contact must have had contact with tertiary contact unknowingly.
They can't unwind the hands of the clock.
