The truth must be told that Lagos state governments do not live up to their responsibilities in term of delighting the retirees and the beneficiaries of Lagos state employees after giving excellent services for good 35 years. The Lagos state pension commission in all due respect has not done enough to it clients( Lagos state employees) to put smiles on their faces. It has become normalcy in Lagos state to by LASPEC to delay their retirees or beneficiaries up to 5 years on the excuses that Lagos state government has not released funds to pay off their clients. It shows that LASPEC on it own lacks effective organization, financial independent, good governance and reliability. Most of the retirees or beneficiaries had completed their papers documentation or clearance and still have to wait for more than 2 years to receive their deserved rewards. Lagos state government has failed completely because of it insensitivity in this area. LASG has to quickly wake up from slumber to become a more responsible government now that election is around the corner. ''Make hay while the Sun shines''
