An Australian who’s been negotiating for the release of the 200 school-girls kidnapped by Boko Haram from their school in Northeast Nigeria has today accused several politicians of funding the Islamist fighters. According to Nigeria’s ThisDay newspaper, Dr Stephen Davis says Nigerian politicians are one of Boko Haram’s “primary” sources of funding. And he says he was very close to freeing some of the girls. But that just 15 minutes before he reached the village where they had been left by their kidnappers, a different group of fighters arrived and kidnapped them again. Now this story may be true or false! The Australian claims his sources are the bokoharam commanders themselves. It is now left for our authorities to investigate thoroughly without political or economic or tribal or ethnic or regional or religious sentiments. Watch full video of interview below. At this point, i think it is not wise to assume this people to be serious any more. They were brutally dealt with when Ihejirika was the military helmsman. How are they now accusing him of sponsoring the boko haram now? Northern elders even threateded of taking him to the world court at retirement. This is the joke of the year. 4 Likes |

this does not make sense. Are sherriff and ihejirika representing boko haram in the negotiations? Why doesnt he name those he is negotiating with on behalf of boko haram? |

Sheriff's name has always been synonymous with BokoHaram since 1960. I wonder why the presidency hasn't for once ordered the arrest and intensive investigation of that man. Is it that the entire FG is spineless to arrest a single man or what?   As for Ihejirika, his own involvement is still very sketchy. His ethnic origin and his marked brutality towards anything 'suspected' of being connected with bokoharam 'could possibly' be his downfall. If the informants of the Australian are the bokoharam commanders themselves, could it not be possible for the commanders to just mention any name whom they feel is a threat? To many questions left to be answered.. It is left for the FG to put the politics of expediency aside, conduct a proper investigation and find a way to eliminate these blood sucking bastards.. |
