No matter how big your army is, history has shown times without number defeating a battle hardened troop is an ardious task bordering on impossibility. Yesterday it took The American Airforce, the Iranian Airforce, the Iraqi Army & Pasmeger or Kurdish Army a week to dislodge ISIS from a Town in Northern Iraqi. Can you imagine America with their precision bombs and what not. I would be surprise if d Nigerian Army can ever defeat BH.

They have become battle hardened and now entrenching themselves 8n towns they have over-ran setting up boo--by traps for NA . It would be a herculian task. Unfortunately we have allowed this monster to grow.

I would post real live example of how difficult it is to dislodge well entrenched enemies.

The fear I have is Nigeria Army are scared of standing up to BH in battle. There is a visible fear in them(Nigeria Armed Forces) and that sign is not a good one.

Nigerian Army alone cannot dislodge boko haram again they have missed that plot .. It would take a combined AU task force with air support from the english and french to dislodge BH from any of the towns the have taken now and such an operation will come with grave humanitarian consequences to the West African sub region..

so how come isreal has been defeating battle hardened islamic terrorists since 1968? You remember how isreal deaalth with 5 battle hardedned nations within 6 days in 1967?

Also, the Boko Haram issue may escalate to full blown inter-ethnic or religious conflict. The sooner we understand that we are in a state of war and act accordingly, the better for us.

NA is suffering the outcome delivery of years of systematic endemic corruption and abuse.

Our Generals are stuck in the past and have pursued self interest to the bloody murderous detriment of the nation and its junior combatants. In the modern battlefield bravery is no longer the essential components but, communications connectivity,precision munitions and fit for purpose weapon systems, that’s why a nerdy drone operator can cause havoc from his base in San Diego against multiple insurgents and targets in Somalia, Yemen, Afghanistan, etc, etc.

I think it’s time do away with pride and any convoluted ideas of us being giants of Africa, need to burst the bubble we are not. Let’s call on France to help us out they have the capacity and the air assets in close proximity to carry out precision strikes against Boko for us within 24 hours we will then retake the advantage and be on the offensive.

And please please for goodness sake let’s get some fit for purpose IFV’s (Infantry Fighting Vehicles) with remote weapon stations, for a nation like ours we should have at least 300. What we are deploying are simply Rubbish.

Lets renew our strategy give these guys 50cal. sniper rifles that will end the menace of Boko technical’s it doesn’t cost that much, and issue modern assault rifles with optic sights , AK47 is antiquated and highly inaccurate over 150 metres in battle conditions.

France is our best bet in d short run. Clear d riff-raffs in those towns captured through air support. While Naija troops do d mop up.

But then jonathan should give France a mouth watering contract in our infrasture stake.
